Wednesday Randoms

I am excited for the rest of this week.  Seeing Magic Mike tomorrow with pantsoffdanceoff and another friends.  Friday night doing dinner and maybe the Minion movie with the guy I went out with last Friday.  We are also doing a Disney day on Saturday.  He lives about an hour away, so since we decided to hang out both days he just decided to get a hotel by Disney that way he didn't have to drive home and then back.  I am most likely going to stay with him, and of course I just started my period today, my luck is the worst.  I am out of town next Tues-Sun and he works nights during the week, so we likely won't see each other again until the 31st/1st, boooo.

One of the jobs I applied for sent me a "thanks, but no thanks" email this morning.

I will take one tonight, tomorrow morning, and tomorrow night if necessary and report back! I don't mind 30 seconds of a nasty taste if it can allow me to fully enjoy this weekend.

We just got an e-mail this morning linking an article from the newspaper that our company could possibly move the financial center, which I work at, closer to the national headquarters in Maryland. That would mean about 500 people would likely be out of a job, unless some are able to relocate or work from home. I am unable to do either of those options. Apparently the county is offering the company some major incentives to get them to stay. The arcticle said there is an August 28th deadline on the incentive offers.

I am sort of freaking out here. First off, I hope that they stay here. Also, I would hope that, if they do move to MD, that they would offer some sort of separation package to those of us who can't relocate or work from home.  Guess I should work on my resume just in case. This was totally unexpected. UGH!!!

Way too many physical files needed for my job. And it's shared with another woman. It just wouldn't work.

Agreed.  I've been here 10 1/2 years, I have never cried like I have in the past 2 months.  I'm so frustrated.

Hugs to those of you struggling with the job situations. I hope you guys can find something soon because I know how draining a bad work environment can be and bleed into the rest of your life.

ETA: The fb post about pics of exs reminded me of this funny.  I decided to finally go through my phone and delete some photos last night (I have almost 5k just on my camera roll), and I ran across a pic from Vegas of my ex (bf not H) butt naked laying in bed. I honestly do not even remember taking that pic, must have been a super drunk morning.  Reminded me of what a nice ass he had though.  I also found a couple pics of my boobs that I guess I never deleted after sending to him.  If someone scrolled through my pics I would be in trouble.

I'm currently at the ob/gyn waiting to get tested. I'm getting ALL the tests! My doctor joined a practice and so far I'm not impressed. It doesn't feel as warm and welcoming as her own place she had.

Today would have been my 9th wedding anniversary. Such an awkward date to remember now!

BF is off today and I'm caught up enough to be a slacker so we're going to do some shopping and then hop in the pool for an evening swim. Making linguine with shrimp scampi tonight and I'm excited to eat it..lol

That's been my experience and seems to be the case with my friends.  If they're giving you mixed signals, there is usually a reason.  It's a bummer.

Today at work my new boss took me on a detour to see the graves of Johnny Cash and June Carter-Cash. It was really cool!

I am supposed to play tennis tonight with a guy I met on Tinder, but naturally I haven't heard from him all day. He's sending me such mixed signals. He reached out Sunday and Tuesday and we made plans, but the text conversations were short. I feel you @bk. I am going to text him and see if we're still on. If he cancels or doesn't respond, I won't contact him again or respond if he reaches out.

I have been doing so well with my exercising. I lost 2.3 lbs last week. I hope I have the same success this week. I want to fit back into my regular clothes dammit!

I have been taking my breakfast, coffee, and lunch to work everyday and my bank account loves it! I really am noticing how much money I was really spending for lunch 3-4 times per week for sodium filled lunches. It adds up so quickly!

Totally randoms, but this is a randoms thread right? I have been thinking about getting a tattoo. I'm scared and nervous. What I want requires red ink. I'm pretty sure there is iodine in red ink and I am allergic. Does anyone know if that's true? I asked my friend if he would get the tattoo I want, because he already has some, and I would live vicariously through my tattoo on his foot! lol

I found out xh failed to finish his parenting class. The judge had SPECIFICALLY ordered him to take it. I hope it helps our case tremendously.

I would ask the artist if that is the case. Sometimes they can special order ink if needed.

I immediately asked him not to and he used scotch tape instead. He is going to order some cotton tape to use for me.

Good to know as I am also allergic to latex which can result in asphyxiation.
