I really want to know what happened to the Princes in the Tower. I personally don't believe Richard III did it himself or requested it done, but that someone did it believing they were doing him a favor. As much as the Tudor era is nifty to study and Elizabeth I was an incredible ruler, I wonder what would have happened if RIII had ruled for a long time.
<---nerd of irrelevant things.
I agree Jesus would have been married and the early Church was pretty messed up/distant from what may have been Jesus' original intentions. I like the idea that Mary Magdalen was actually his wife, and since she was so close to Jesus that she was actually a leader/apostle in the early years after the crucifixion, but was villified to serve the Church's agenda.
ETA: and yes, the DIA mustang is creepy/scary, especially when the red eyes are glowing and the sky is a bit stormy.
I wish I could remember exact details now, but they told me the story probably 8 years ago and I've had many legally prescribed opiates since then, so I mostly remember the gist now. Basically. They had a ton of time to kill at the airport for some reason, so they wandered around, really looking at the art and weird inscriptions and stuff mentioned in the article the PP linked. While they were looking at one of the murals (not sure if it was this one or the other creepy one), they were commenting on some of the weird symbolism and things they saw. As they did this, someone walked up behind them and whispered something like, "They're watching" or something similarly creepy. Maybe just someone trying to freak them out? Add to that lots and lots of stories of friends of friends, or cousins or whatever who were construction workers there who saw weird shit, like the buried tunnels/rooms, and all the other rumors and something is just weird. I think one friend's conspiracy theory is that it's a huge complex for the government VIPS to escape to if the apocalypse comes (or whatever The End will be).
This would be a pretty hilarious thing to do to people, come to think of it.
I could definitely believe that there's an underground escape complex for government VIPs. One already exists at the Greenbrier resort (it's been acknowledged so it's not a conspiracy theory).
It is no longer operational but my parents visited said it was pretty amazing, with parts of it hidden in plain sight and regularly used by guests. The real question now is where is the new one?
Here's a good place to start down the rabbit hole.
So this entire baggage system simply failed from the start and is just sitting there, doing nothing? Did taxpayers riot?
Nope. It was just one thing in a long line of things that had issues when DIA was built. I think people just got so bogged down in all the news that they stopped caring. The only thing that really concerned people was that they couldn't get the trains to work right for about 5ish years.

I now have a new item to add to my personal bucket list.
I don't know that I believe anything but I am fascinated by all of the conspiracy theories surrounding the Denver Airport (I don't even know why I care, but I seriously love it.)
Regarding JFK, I think the CIA knows more than they've ever publicly acknowledged. I can't remember any of the details anymore but I read that CIA expose Legacy of Ashes and there was def something fishy going on about destruction of papers related to the whole thing. And they have a loooong history of doing outrageously shady shit (like performing psychological torture on US felons)
Oh if we are going Bible conspiracy theories though, I actually think Paul was a closeted homosexual. Paul is really the only person who rails against them in his letters in the New Testament. He also writes that he wishes everyone could be like him and not get distracted with families and marriage and instead focus their attention solely on ministry but he realizes that isn't reasonable. It's almost like he has a Talented Mister Ripley obsession with Jesus at times.
Edit because I write the wrong word
Paul had isshews. A lot of them.
The early church has a lot to answer for, as far as fucking up the Bible and what was included and what wasn't. I think they also destroyed a ton of manuscripts to create a "perfect document" uncontested in the bible.
Here's a good place to start down the rabbit hole.
Thank you!
I dove down the rabbit role. That is one effed up place! Those murals are some scary shit! That damn horse is the thing of nightmares, and I freaking LOVE horses! Burn it down!!

I'be always liked the theory that Margaret Beaufort orchestrated it She got a pass for centuries because she was a religious woman and generations of historians bought into the Tudor revisionist storyline hook, line, and sinker. I forget the details now but I remember reading that if Richard III really had known about what happened to them, he did some really illogical things afterwards that didn't make sense. Although maybe he was trying to cya? Anyway, related to this, I wonder why the English govt never allowed the skeletons exhumed to be tested for dna. Wouldn't it be nice to know if those really were the princes?

I haven't really put much stock in any of it but I just saw the part about the whole buried buildings that were "built wrong" and wow. That is really suspicious.
It reminds me of the Silo books. Wool I think is what they are called.

Denver Death Horse says "Believe"
That
That thing is scary as fuck! Who the hell approved for this thing to be the building mascot?!

My husband was telling me that the planes can scramble in 10 minutes. He was telling me in relation to the power plant after 9/11 and higher terror alerts. Maybe it was just to make me feel better.

I'm super into conspiracy theories, but I don't actually believe many of them. I just find them all fascinating. I feel the same way about supernatural/ghosts/cryptozoology stories. Super fascinating, but I don't actually believe any of it.

I wish I had a link to this one site I read a few years back about DIA. The main thing I remember hearing is that a number of famous celebrities, presidents, royal families from abroad even, own acreage in the DIA area. Total BS? I have no idea.

Ok, I am really happy I'm not the only one who thinks this! He also talked a bit about some kind of sin "thorn in his side" thing he was burdened with but I don't think he ever said was it was. His opinions on marriage- like it is better to be single, but if you are burning up with passion, go ahead and get married, or whatever.. it just screamed "NOT ATTRACTED TO WOMEN" to me.
I don't know WHY this has never occurred to me. I cannot tell you how much I would love to post this on FB, but if I did, half of my friends' and families' heads would explode.

Hahaha ditto. I was raised very conservative Christian and even at the height of my belief when I was teaching Bible studies and thought that homosexuality was a choice, I still got a little strange vibe from Paul.
So I just did some googling about The Greenbriar. Looks like it was a gov’t safehouse but has since been decommissioned. So maybe DIA is the new place for a continuity of gov’t emergency plan? I mean there has to be someplace to evacuate our leadership to in the event of a large scale emergency/disaster. Seems awfully far from DC for that to be plausible though.
Also, slightly related- is it Norway that houses the doomsday greenhouse? Some bunker where they bank millions and millions of seeds for all our plants, I guess to use in the aftermath of a nuclear winter or asteroid strike or something?

So apparently back in 2011 there was some Comet that had a chance of being the doomsday comet for Earth and around the time of it possibly hitting us, Pres Obama was conveniently in Denver…..DUN DUN lol
