I saw a guy today who was wearing a DCU patrol cap. It was ranger rolled, has a U.S. Army tape in place where the name tape should be. He had some gold insignia placed above the back tape as well. Then, he had E-8 rank on the front of it. His hair looked to be completely shaved off. All of this was worn with regular civies (t-shirt and shorts with flip flops).
Did I ever tell you about the girl who got "sexy" pics taken in her FI's NWU's. It was okay though because she asked his superior first and he approved it...eye roll. I can't believe she asked in the first place, let alone that it was "approved".

And, wearing it inside nonetheless.
I honestly can't imagine him being prior service or current service. It seemed as though he was wearing for attention.
Surely he'd have his own name on the back on not U.S. Army. Or a unit crest (if that's what it was) on the back of it.
For the rank I know for sure there were 3 rockers and 3 chevrons. It could have had the other insignia within it that makes it an E-9 rank.
It definitely just caught my attention but aside from that I know there is nothing to do about it. It's just simply disrespectful to those who have really been in the military IF he was faking it.
