Thanks for thinking of us! His appointment isn't until 2:30. He's sleeping so peacefully in the RNP right now (as opposed to yesterday when he was a hot mess and had to be held the entire day or he would scream). Poor thing has no idea what's coming.
Good luck. See is they have any sugar liquid. They had these little squeeze packs of sugar water in the Nicu for when they did procedures. They would give it e right after a procedure it was supposed to reduce stress and it really did calm her down. It was research based and the nurses felt it really helped. Hope it goes well.

They used to dip my kids paci's in sugar water when they had to do IV's. They wouldn't make a peep. I was amazed how well it worked (while I was a crying hot mess).
We survived! Luckily it was a quick procedure. He screamed when the dentist was messing around in his mouth and it did bleed a little, but he calmed down pretty quickly afterwards. Now he's sleeping in my arms. I'll try feeding him when he wakes up. We're supposed to do stretching exercises with his lip several times a day to make sure it doesn't reattach. Hopefully it will heal quickly! Thanks for the good thoughts!

We do the sugar liquid (we call it sweet ease) before and during circumcisions. Same thing, dip the paci in. I also use a 1 ml syringe to drop in a little at a time (max dose 0.5 ml).
