I'm kind of just passively monitoring my cycle and I was just curious about something. So CD 1 (first after no longer being on birth control) was June 28th. I felt that I had a lot of signs of ovulation around the weekend of July 4th. Tender breasts. Increase in general vaginal wetness. Very strong sex drive. Slight cramping on one side. We had sex 3 or 4 times around that time period so I was feeling optimistic. I would have expected my period to come at the end of this month...about a week from now. But my period came last night. At first I hoped it was implantation bleeding because the timing would have been perfect for that, but today it's a light to medium flow typical of a first day. So I'm pretty sure it's my period. Anyway, so based on this month I had a 23 day cycle. Is that weird? If it's normal, does that mean I ovulate way earlier in my cycle than the typical day 14? If so, it seems like I would would be fertile while I'm still at the tail end of my period, which is inconvenient.
I'm only mildly disappointed that I didn't get pregnant right away since it's SO MUCH FUN actually having a sex drive. Being on birth control is for the birds. It really just kills my libido.
It sounds... interesting. IF you just stopped BC, you should also know it can take some women's bodies a few cycles to regulate and actually start releasing eggs.
My O day is CD17 consistently.
If you are truly wondering, you could get those OPK strips.
Oh I did not know that bit about the egg releasing. Well I think I will track a little more closely out of curiosity. Maybe the odd short cycle is just a result of getting off the nuva ring.
Well my period is over so I'm jumping on the baby making train! We have a wedding back east this weekend so will be out of town at ideal baby making time. Fingers crossed!!
