Anyone have a bag by Mansur Gavriel? How do you like it? I am eyeing up the Lady Bag which is supposedly restocking on July 28. I have heard that the last restocking was a disaster and no one could get bags. I'm trying to convince myself not to drop $900 on another bag but it is so pretty! That is, if I could even get one.
I bought the regular size camello/rosa online at Barney's. I ended up returning it because I thought it would be good as an everyday bag for me, but the leather was just too stiff and delicate. First thing I noticed when I pulled it out of the dust bag were all the scratches and a gash across the front flap. The single arm strap reminded me of the Givenchy Pandora strap, but the opening was much smaller. I tried it on with a tank top and I couldn't imagine it fitting comfortably with a bulkier sweater or jacket/coat. I didn't like the closure of the bag because I imagine if I was to wear it crossbody, it would probably migrate behind me and I didn't feel like it was secure enough.
With all that being said, I do own the black/flamma mini bucket which is also stiff and not too secure, but I don't wear it as often and with the $900 price tag for the lady bag, I couldn't justify it cost per wear-wise. Perhaps a darker color in the lady bag would be better at hiding any imperfections, but for me the overall bag didn't fit my needs.

i hope this helps!
This is all very helpful information, thanks! Now I'm undecided....
What's all the fuss about with these bags? They seem so simple to me. I don't get why they sell out so fast?
marketing. these folks probably peed themselves once the whole "it bag" thing attached (i assume, i've literally never heard of them). they can make 1000 and sell them in seconds, or make 10,000 and have people wait.

So they are essentially creating the urgency by the way they are choosing to limit how much they make to drive interest? lol

i'm totally guessing, but if something sells out in seconds from barney's and looks pretty plain (to me) there's gotta be some kind of status attached to it!
was this bag sported by a real housewife? a kardashian?
