Went and saw Idina Menzel last night with my mom and she was just AMAZING! I almost can't put into words how good she is.

My grandma should be coming home from the hospital today so that is really good. My grandma is 96 and my grandpa is 99 and I'm 32 and thus is the first time in my life that one of my grandparents has had to go to the hospital. It's kind of crazy to think about. My other grandparents passed before I was born.

The meeting with the nutritionist went well. The body composition was a bit of an eye opener. Essentially I don't burn many calories during the day so I have been overeating regularly. So the plan for the next 4 weeks is essentially 50% protein, 25% carbs and 25% fat. We reevaluate in 4 weeks and hope that by increasing my muscle mass through working out and decreasing my fat by my eating that I will be able to add more food to my diet. I see a cranky 4 weeks ahead of me.

I'm up WAY earlier than usual on a weekend and no clue why. We have tickets to the Mets/Dodgers game at 1pm. Guess I'll make some coffee and feed my kitties!


ETA: pantsoffdanceoff, good luck with the nutrition plan! That's awesome and congrats for making a healthy step. I realize I need to eat healthier. I know I gained back the weight I lost last year and it bums me out yet I don't care to get motivated to do something about it. Blah!

My class starts tomorrow so I'm in major scrambling mode to get stuff done. Will make time for yoga with a friend though.

I'm at a craft show with my dad. We just stopped at a restaurant to eat (instead of fair food). I just taught him how to tag people on FB, lol.

I don't think I'll be having a 2nd date today. We never set a time and he ended up going to a golf tournament. So, it's not likely to happen today.

Working from home today. I'm kicking myself for agreeing to process payroll after my last day at my old job. I left some simple instructions on what I needed to do this and no one followed them. Sadly. At least I'll be done with it tomorrow.

In other news it's day two in this hot streak of weather. Yuck. Fall temps need to get here sooner rather than later.

I've already grocery shopped, painted my nails, and went to the gym today, hooray! I was going to hit the pool but it's so overcast out that there's no point. Next up is laundry with an alcoholic beverage. I bought a steak on sale for dinner, so this Sunday is basically pretty great. I also reached my lowest weight today since moving to Nashville! My cruise is 60 days from today and I hope to lose 10 more pounds by then.

I love Jennifer Lopez's hair in these pictures and think this may be my hair cut when I go shorter. And damn she looks great.

I visited my girlfriend who just had her third daughter, we spent the afternoon having my daughter and her older girls play in the kiddie pool while we chatted and sipped Redd's apple ales.

DH and I had a good weekend doing nothing! Just hanging at home, taking care of stuff around the house.

DH and I have a group of friends that gets together weekly at a local pub. The attendance waxes and wanes, depending on life stuff, but there is a core group of 5-6 of us that are there pretty much every week. One of the girls (R), who I consider one of my very best friends, has been a part of the group for just over a year. She invited her roommate (W) to come, and now she's a part of the group as well.
A couple of months after R joined the group, she started dating an awesome guy, who has also become part of the group. W has been dating, but none of the guys have really stuck around. W is smart, funny, pretty, and has her shit together, but she is very much a drama queen. Now, she's jealous that R has this great guy, and she hasn't had much success dating, and she thinks that she should get "more" of the group since she doesn't have a BF. It's basically HS bullshit. W accused R of making attention from the group into a competition, but I think it's actually W that's making it a competition. Now, W and her sister aren't speaking, and it's because she tried to do what the rest of us are wondering how. How do you tell a friend that the reason guys don't stick around is because she's a drama queen? W's sister tried to tell her that, needless to say, W didn't take it well.

I really don't like it when stuff threatens the sanctity of the group.
