Also let me put in a plug for Spotify, now that they have Playlist Radio Stations. Pandora does a better job finding stuff you like that you might not otherwise think of, but at the same time sometimes it goes off the rails and plays Muse because, hey, everyone likes Muse, right? With Spotify, you can feed it a playlist and it does a pretty good job of finding other music on that playlist -- and it mixes in the specific songs you wanted! So it's like ZunePass, for emmyinpink (where is she?!?!) or anyone else who has a windows phone.
Right now I have two main playlists I use on spotify for radio stations. One is full of electro swing (Parov Stelar, GoldFish, Nekta), gummy dancepop (Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, Maddona, La Roux, Morgan Page, David Guetta), and darker dubstep type stuff (Skrillex, Justice, Boys Noize, Bassnectar). The other is pop-punk and riot grrl bands, mostly with female singers: Sleater-Kinney, Gossip, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Sahara Hotnights, Bikini Kill, the Soviettes, Go Betty Go.
Download Spotify and have a listen to some of this stuff!
i'm a country girl...i don't know if you'll enjoy my music haha. but with the sun shining, my faves are all of the really hick-ish sounding tim mcgraw, garth brooks, etc.

I'm pretty stuck in the 90's when it comes to music, with a few exceptions for college-era nostalgia stuff (Lil Jon, etc). My favorite bands are Third Eye Blind and Sublime. When I'm trying to "keep up my street cred" I listen to ODB, Wu Tang Clan, and Dre Dog (now known as Andre Nickatina)
Somebody I Used to Know - Gotye, Eyes Open - Taylor Swift Lately I have been listening to my new Carrie Underwood CD instead of the radio 3 songs I love on her new CD are Good Girl, Blown Away, 2 Black Cadillacs
It's free on your desktop but you get a few ads. If you pay for it ... I think it's like $8 or $9/month ... you get no ads and you can use it on a phone.
