I would wait and call the pedi at 10 (is that when they open!?! That seems late). I wouldn't go to the ER unless it seemed like he was having trouble breathing.

I would do nothing for now but keep a very close eye on him. For any facial swelling or breathing difficulties, I would go to the peds ER. Then at 10, I would call the pedi and ask what they want me to do.
If there's no breathing concerns, I'd wait it out. I'm pretty lax though on taking my kid to the doctor. Did he get bit by something or come into contact with something outside?
It can't hurt to at least call the pedi and see what they say.
