Shatterproof wine glasses?

I've been eyeing govino stemless ones for a while. I plan to buy a set after DH finishes breaking all my Riedel ones.

Have you checked crate and barrel? I think I recall seeing some decent looking ones in their catalogs.

Thanks for sharing this! I had read someplace they were dishwasher safe.

I have a 2 set of BB&B ones that are fairly thick and have lasted way better than my riedel ones.

We have the stemless version of these. They're not shatterproof, but in 3 years we've only managed to break 1 of them, which I'd say is pretty good.

Do they have to be glass? I have something like this www.crateandbarrel.com/dining-and-entertaining/acrylic-glasses/acrylic-stemless-wine-glass/s160779 for the beach.

I'm also going to eventually give up on my riedel (down to 7/12). I've even broken one while washing it. Those things are ridiculous.

I've had a couple different types (including Reidel) and my favorite are the basic Libby glasses you can buy at Target. They're glass, don't break as easily as others, and you can toss them into the dishwasher. Love them!

Oh, and from my personal experience, the acrylic/plastic ones are crappy. They seem cool because you don't have to worry about them breaking, but they feel and look cheap. Also, they end up looking worn out after washing them in the dishwasher after multiple uses. I haven't been impressed with them at all.

I also don't care for crystal because I feel like I need to hand wash them (I don't know if you actually have to, but I do).

My favorite is glass, particularly the Libby brand from Target I mentioned above.

They are dishwasher-safe and in 6 years, only one has a tiny chip (we still use it but don't give it to guests).
