Softball tournament on Sat & Sun! Our team is the #1 overall seed out of 68 teams so a lot of expectations on us. Should be fun, just hoping the rain holds out.
Looking forward to the week being over. This is DH's first week back to work, so I'm all by my lonesome today and tomorrow, I'm nervous. My ILs come in Wednesday (help me Jesus) and my SIL comes in Friday, while my DH is going to Mississippi on Friday with BIL. They come back Saturday, and the whole family minus me and E are going to a wedding.
1. Chiropractor today. 2. G's 6 month! Appointment tomorrow. 3. Visiting BFF for a girls day Wednesday before she goes back to work. Mom is babysitting all day. First time. 4. SIL coming over sometime this week. 5. Hopefully some time to clean and time to relax.
Good luck pooh8402! You'll do great on your own and hopefully time flies. When DS was smaller time went by quickly since it seemed like he was always eating.
Not much going on here this week. I actually don't know of any plans we have. So hopefully a nice quiet week.
pooh8402- Prayers this week goes better than expected! Honestly, I love it when DH is home but it's so much easier when it's just me and C...we have found our own routine and everything just goes smoother
Looking forward to:
1) Swim Mon-Thurs!
2) Baby storytime at the library Tues
3) Finally having my blood drawn on Weds so I can donate milk
4) Walking with my neighbor on Thurs
5) No plans yet on Friday which will be good so I can catch up on housework
6) Not going to the river with DH and his BFF this weekend (they are staying at ILs for River Rigata). Not looking forward to a weekend of complete solo parenting but also this was a win-win...I really did not want to spend the weekend driving to 120 degree weather with a house full of people, having to socialize during C's naps/bedtime, and worrying about keeping C on his schedule so he's not a complete mess. DH finally caved and decided to go without me (with my 100% blessing and encouragement...BFF's wife didn't want to go either so this really helped!).
Wednesday I'm going to my moms group's support group. It's about self-care and is at a wine bar. Should be enjoyable and I'm looking forward to getting out of the house.
luv2rn4fun It's going better since I gave up on the crib, lol. I tried it for 3 days and I think he slept an hour total in the crib those 3 days. I kept having to take him in the car to make sure he got some sort of nap. I busted out the swing again and he's asleep in that now. When I asked on MMM it didn't seem too unusual to refuse the crib for naps, so I try it again down the road.
Good call on bailing on the river. That sounds like it could not be a very fun time.
No plans really this week which is good. Hopefully we will find some time to get this place presentable to show, lol. Ugh, it's such a disaster right now!

Thanks! Yeah, I hardly enjoy going anytime (I go because it's DH's favorite thing to do and I like the time with him, especially on the water...but staying with ILs and 120 degree heat, totally not my thing).
You know I never realized that babies had such a hard time napping in cribs either (I figured if they sleep there at night, shouldn't be much of a problem for naps too). Anyways, we were at a 1st bday party with lots of friends, all slightly older than C but less than 1 yr old...and most did not nap (or at least decent naps) in their cribs. ((hugs)) you definitely aren't alone. Hope that you are able to get your DS napping in his crib soon...lots of prayers and ((hugs)). You are doing a great job- I truly admire your ability to hold DS for naps this long...he is one lucky guy to have such a great mommy!
Having a normal week at home after traveling. Going to the pool. Lunch date with a friend Wednesday. Being productive with cleaning and organizing. Getting back on the healthy eating and exercising bandwagon.
Can we change these threads to what's up this week instead of what we're looking forward to? Because I've always got all sorts of things going on, but I don't know that I would say I look forward to most of them. Haha.
I took the day off work today. today is DD #2 's B-day my baby is 6 ya'll. We had a fun day. Kid's party at the pool. from noon-3pm then we hung out for a while. We came home got changed went out to dinner, got milkshakes after. I gave her one present. (parents vetch innotab3s is the best thing ever. ages 3-12. she had one that lasted for about 2 years. through dd slamming dropping tantrum-ing spilling sticky fingers ect. I had to replace it for her. dd 1's is still running strong she has had it over a year and is a bit more careful with hers.) for now clean up pick up put away the mess in the house. dd's party is in Saturday. Due to H & i's miss commotion we're also hosting dinner on Saturday. Friday lady's night at the pool. 21 & up! no kids. I have been looking forward to this all summer. I'll have to be carful how much I drink.
DD was born on Friday so this week is adjusting to life at home. I am looking forward to my milk being in and adjusting to the new normal. My mom had taken off next week so this week is just me and H which is nice. DS is at a pretty awesome day camp this week which works out great, he is home with us in the evenings after a 9 hours of camp activities so he is tired and happy to just watch tv with us.

I have two bags of candy sitting on my desk at work that I bought from BJ's, and I'm looking forward to not being lazy and packaging them up and mailing them to TTH.
