WDF 5k, this w/e, Market Street Mile 9/12, Parks Half 9/13
T: 12.75 W: 10 w/mile repeats, chisel class Th: 10 Fr: 4 Sa: 5k race Su: 17 (DH is out of town so this hasn't been thought through)
Vents/Issues: Nope. My tightness and aches from last week have been fixed with new shoes, and I've gotten through a tired spell. Only a few hard weeks of training left for me so I'm feeling motivated.
Highlights/AW's. I won a cross country 8k, on a course that took me pretty far out of my element. It was only 4 seconds slower than my road 8k PR from a couple weeks ago and a 3 min course PR. (Which continues my course PR streak for the year )

What are you training for? Date? MCM and Richmond marathons, 10/25 and 11/14
Training plan for the week?

Any issues or vents? I've hit the point of marathon training where I'm tired and hungry all the time. I think I'm going to feel this way until mid-November.
Highlights from the past week? AW yourself! I survived my first 20-mile training run of the summer.

What are you training for? Date? Sprint tri 8/22; Olympic tri 9/12
Training plan for the week?
M: 8 mile run (only made it 4.6 ) T: 1250 yd swim W: 60 minute trainer ride Th: rest F: swim (about a mile, I'd have to check my plan) S: 10 min swim, 60 min bike, 60 min run S: 3 hr bike
Any issues or vents? Last night I tried to run and my achilles hurt and my hips hurt after. I don't think I'm injured, I just think I am beat up. Last week was a step back week and I took Fri-Sun off but I also walked my ass off around NYC, so my legs are still tired. Now I need to try to fit in another run, and H is out of town and DS has soccer camp every evening.
Highlights from the past week? It was so nice to get away with H for a few days! No real H&F wins though.
What are you training for? Date? Abebe Bikila Day International Peace Half 9/12, Clarendon Day 5K/10K 9/26, MCM 10/25
Training plan for the week? Mon-3M + strength, Tues-5xhills, Wed-8M, Thur-4M + strength, Fri-Rest, Sat-8M pace, Sun-16M
Any issues or vents? I had a good week, but as always there is some self-doubt creeping in. I keep thinking that I'm not pushing myself hard enough this marathon cycle, which is silly, but true. This is my B marathon. I don't want two crazy hard marathon cycles back to back. I just need to enjoy my successes and have faith that the training is working.
Highlights from the past week? AW yourself! I had another nice 7-mile pace run. I hit my pace and then some. I had a blast running at the zoo, even with the huge hill at the end.
M: 5 miles with fartleks (this is important because it's been forever since I've run fast!)
T: 5 miles on TM
W: 5 mile tempo run
TH: 4-5 mile easy run
F: Rest
S: 12-14
S: Rest
Any issues or vents? I slipped in the same puddle in the bathroom on Friday TWICE. The first time, I cracked my head, tailbone, elbow and toe. The second time, 5 minutes later, obviously not having learned my lesson, I had a bottle of nail polish in my hand. It shattered, so I had blood and pink nail polish everywhere. It was amazing how much the fall jarred everything. It all hurts!!
Highlights from the past week? AW yourself! I'm really feeling motivated to commit to training hard again. Dealing with The Crud just knocked me down for 5 weeks, and during that, all I wanted to do was get back to where I was before. This morning, I woke up at 4 to get in a run before work. And last night's fartlek workout was awesome. I actually saw .5 mile paces in the sub-8s and one sub-7 quarter mile. I didn't think my Garmin remembered those numbers, haha!
2) M - 6m, T - cross +strength, W- 10m w/5 at hm pace, Th-cross + 5m, F- rest, Sat - 9m, Sun 16m w/10 at mp
3) I am over my cold. I thought it was gone, but now it is back  I haven't been able to get a good run in two weeks.
4) MehÂ
I hope you feel better soon! Summer colds are the worst. Not that winter ones are fun, but I expect to take some time off for all the germs at that time of year.
What are you training for? Date? Gravel Grinder in a few weeks. I'm doing a 6 hour mountain bike race this weekend for fun.

Any issues or vents?
Highlights from the past week? I hung with the A group longer than I ever have on this charity ride before.

What are you training for? Date? Sprint Tri 8/29 Half 9/26 Relay 10/24
Training plan for the week?
M Run 5 miles speed work T Bike 20 W Swim/lift TR - Brick - Bike 10 Run 2-3 F- Rest (maybe swim or run in am) S Run 11 S - Rest - OWS
Any issues or vents? August is a crazy month - lots of stuff going on. It's going to be challenging to get my long run in this weekend being out of town with friends. I need to focus on stretching. Overall I feel pretty good but have some hip and knee soreness I don't want to make worse.
Highlights from the past week? AW yourself! Nothing huge but I am really proud of myself for overcoming some fears and insecurities and getting back into swimming.

Any issues or vents? Running with the stroller is hard!
Highlights from the past week? AW yourself! My 3 mile run yesterday morning was awesome - 10:55 average (which I know sounds slow as molasses), with my last mile being my fastest at 10:20. When I started training for my last half my average was like 12:30/mile.

What are you training for? Date? Baystate Marathon (10/18)
Training plan for the week? Mon - Rest/cross train via lifting boxes Tues - 4 miles or track meet if it isn't cancelled due to storms Wed - 7 miles Thurs- 4 miles Fri - rest Sat - drive to NC Sun - 15 miles in NC
Any issues or vents? Everything is getting super busy at once. I can't wait to get by this week between packing, running club stuff, work stuff, etc. And I'm putting extra stress on us since we decided to list our house this weekend instead of next due to the school year starting a bit later this year so someone could theoretically buy the house and get moved in by Labor Day.
Highlights from the past week? AW yourself! Made it thru my 14 miles (virgin miles for me!) this past weekend in the heat and humidity. Pace was decent and I felt I could keep going.

Most likely that is my game plan. I figure after driving for 12 hours the day before an easy out and back will be the best just need to figure out where to park and such. Something to figure out later this week.
2) M - 6m, T - cross +strength, W- 10m w/5 at hm pace, Th-cross + 5m, F- rest, Sat - 9m, Sun 16m w/10 at mp

Thanks!!! You are so right, it is one thing to be stuck in the house when it is cold and miserable outside, but now I feel like I am missing out on my summer on top of feeling meh.
Training plan for the week? M-5m w/strides, T-8m tempo, W-yoga, Th-6m easy, F-13m w/MP miles, Sa-recovery
Any issues or vents? Just the same ol' shit...calves are tight, Achilles is aching, it's hot out, blah, blah, blah. I want it to cool off so I can run in my compression socks.
Highlights from the past week? AW yourself! I honestly don't have one...wait! I drank more than half a bottle of Deep Eddy grapefruit vodka Friday night and still got up to run almost 30 minutes on Saturday. In the mountains. So there's that.

What are you training for? Date? Wine & Dine Half & Space Coast Half - November
Training plan for the week?
M: Easy 3 T: 5K W: 4x 800s R: Rest F: XT by cleaning and decorating my house. Yoga if I get a chance. S: 8 mi, then host my sister's baby shower. Then drink. Su: Lift
Any issues or vents?
Only marginally training related, but hosting this shower Saturday has turned out to be almost as stressful as being somebody's bridesmaid. And by the time 2pm rolls around I'm going to be sleepy from the 5 am wake up call and 8 mile run in 8000 degree heat and just want to nap. Thank goodness I'm a great party planner and will have alcohol available!
Highlights from the past week? AW yourself!
I've been handling the heat and humidity MUCH better this summer than in the past, and I had a great 7 miler last weekend.
Idk. I'm training for something in Savannah 11/7. There will be running this week. There will be 5 days of running, strides, some sort of repeats, yoga on Saturday, and then 14 miles on Sunday. Regardless of the distance, I should probably get some sort of schedule going here.
gt7301b, have you had a head cold? The summer head cold is the worst! It was a solid two weeks before I felt remotely normal, and even now, 3 weeks later, I still get a bit snotty and phlegmy. It sucks. I'm sorry.
Annapolis 10,ccr 20, MCM It's a step back week!!!! Mon: 6 mile progression run, drills, core Tues: 5.5 with bob, bikram yoga Wed: 12 Thurs: 8 w/ 4 at HMP, lift Fri: swim Sat: 10 easy, upper body Sun: rest, maybe yoga
Vents?: my knee is achy but I think I need to break out new shoes. Alonso looking ahead I'm going to have to do 18 next Tuesday before work since DH works all weekend. I debated not stepping back but I needed it bad and we've got a bunch of stuff this weekend too so I would still need to get up before the sun.
Aw: nothing. I too drank 1/2 a bottle of deep eddy vodka but did not run the next day

Ugg, Yes! I refuse to allow this cold to last three weeks, as we are leaving for vacation next week and that will be three weeks. It has to be gone before we leave. I'm sorry you are still feeling bad
What are you training for? Date? 10/3 - Bay Ridge Half in Brooklyn, NY. This is a destination race for me that turned into a vacation.
Training plan for the week? M,W,F - CrossFit S or S: Run - no clue how many miles (I'm not good at training as you can tell)
Any issues or vents? I heard rattle snakes on my trail run Sunday so now I'm a little scared to run it again. I will have to make sure I come back in earlier in the morning than I did last time. That crap was scary but I got some speedwork in because of it! I've gained a few pounds and it's weighing on me heavily (pun intended) and really bothering me. I can feel it in my clothes which is the main problem.
Highlights from the past week? AW yourself! I fell in love with trail running and ran over 12.6 (yes that .6 matters) this weekend with a friend. Other friends walked 8 on the same trail and we met up at the beginning and end.
What are you training for? Date? Indy women's half 9/19, MCM 10/25
Training plan for the week? M: 7 mile tempo (5 miles @ 10k pace), yoga T: 3.5 miles easy W: rest Th: 3.5 miles easy, strength F: rest S: 20 miles Su: strength
Any issues or vents? Off and on heel pain that I'm pretty sure is due to a tight calf.
Highlights from the past week? AW yourself! despite being out of town for the 3 days preceding my 18 mile run, and only getting about 5 hours of sleep, I managed an average pace of 10:13!

What are you training for? Date? Training is mostly just for losing weight now. The races on my calendar are just motivation
Training plan for the week? M - Cycling with finallykrisb who is back on her bike after two years! T - 1:00 joggle, 6 minute walks with 4 minute runs W - Hard trainer workout, probably Downward Spiral R - 1:00 joggle 6/4 intervals F - 60 to 90 minutes tempo with sprints on the trainer S - Short track cross country mountain bike race (part of series here that's a kick off to cross season) S - Rest
Any issues or vents? I'd forgotten how much I hate getting back into running. All the freakin niggles and aches that pop up.
Highlights from the past week? AW yourself I've been pleasantly surprised that I'm able to (fairly) keep a 10:00 minute/mile pace in my runs.
