I am. She is only moving four blocks away, but I hope my kids will feel safe playing outside again.
I have found out, through gossip so I take it with a grain of salt, that the BF living with her did 10 years for assualting a PO. I am upset with the landlord, whom I am friends with, for ever letting her live there. A simple goggle search showed an eviction. That alone should have said not to rent to her. Let alone the numerous other things.
As a LL myself, I have a big problem with people not doing background checks on tenants. I want to somehow get it out to all the local LL that we need to do this if we want the neighborhood to stay strong. But I have no clue how to do that.
I am alone in the office today (no direct reports at least) and 1 thing on my calendar. Yet I have no motivation to just knock out everything else I need to.
I just had a meeting with a 91 year old man. His one eye kept catching the light and I thought he might have retinoblastoma but apparently only babies/kids get this?
if you broke a vase in the kitchen of your office, do you clean it up? because i went in the kitchen for lunch yesterday and there was a broken vase on the floor. i made a comment that it must have just fallen off the refrigerator when no one was there because i can't imagine anyone would just leave it there.
nope, my step-brother/boss did it. his words "that fell when i opened the refrigerator but i just didn't feel like dealing with it."
i asked that, in the future, should he find himself with broken glass on the floor, to at least say something to someone. i wear sandals every day and if i didn't see it i could have been really hurt. his reaction?

"STOP MAKING ME LOOK BAD."
ok then.
Is he two? The stories you share of your family business are really scary.

Shopping for phones suuuuucks. I've been with Verizon for like 15 years and they want to charge me $40 per phone to do my scheduled upgrade. I kinda want to jump ship on them, but am worried about coverage. Verizon has the best coverage and they know it. I hate feeling stuck, and I hate paying almost $250/month for our phones.
DH has been workin glate nights and I've been using that as an excuse to stay up late and catch up on RHOA. I'm so so tired. Please kick Kenya off the show.

...and going to a Verizon store is like entering the first, or maybe the third, circle of Dante's hell.

It takes forEVer to dissipate. I was so happy when Pepe stopped coming to visit Kali. He clearly loved her, but if Pepe caught sight of Darkness my house went back to smelling awful for the next two weeks and I had to do laundry all over again.

My step mama called me yesterday saying my great auntie called her sister who called her (a state wide game of telephone right there) looking for me. I haven't seen or spoken to her since my grandma died, so like 15yrs ago (god I'm old) and before that maybe 6th grade.
Anyway, I called & talked to her. Told her what all was going on. She chastised me for not doing more to help my drug addicted sister & for not inviting them to my wedding & keeping in touch with that side of my family. I'm feeling some kind of way about it.
She was trying to get in touch b/c my uncle has "something" for us & he couldn't find us. IDK what, curious but unless it's pics I don't really care. My sister & I are kinda We don't think he tried that hard.
Ugh! That smell lasts forever. FWIW, the dish soap, baking soda, hydrogen peroxide combo did seem to work on my dog. I did it once, let him dry and then did it again.
