Does anyone other than me do this? I make a weekly calendar, and plan breakfast lunch dinner even snacks, it helps bc I know exactly how many bagels I need to buy at the store, it's also easy bc we know how many calories we've consumed. Anyways, would anyone be interested in swapping menus or recipes? I'm always looking for quick easy and healthy. Although I can take a quick look and know pretty easily what to change for healthy. Anyone in for swapping? Maybe a weekly post? Menu Monday, Tasty Tuesdays, Foodie Friday?
We plan dinners, and I'm thinking about starting to plan the other meals too. So I'd be interested and love to swap recipes and menus. We do it every week except when we're away for the weekend....which seems to be almost every weekend this summer, but we should be back to it in the fall.
I would be interested in seeing what others do. We don't plan enough, but need to start doing that, at least for dinner. I hate feeling like I'm pulling dinner plans outta my ***. Plus it gets expensive because we're not good at working in leftovers.
I have been planning to plan meals for a long time, though, so I have a bunch of meal planning pins on my "Meal Planning" pinterest board. If you dream it... right?
I'll participate in a weekly thread if it happens. We don't plan in nearly as much detail as you do, and I think trying to plan so precisely would drive me nuts but also probably make me eat better and spend less money! We make a list of usually 14-21 dinners we plan to make within the next 2-3 weeks and do a big grocery shopping trip to get all of those ingredients. Then each day we pick something from the list. On weekends in between we'll swing by the store to get additional produce and other extra perishable items like milk or bread or everyday stuff we run out of like eggs. Lunch is almost always dinner left overs. Most dinners make 4 or 6 servings, so we eat 2 and the other 2-4 are lunches. For breakfast and snacks we buy random stuff to keep on hand, though we do try to portion out junky snack food so it's easy to grab in reasonable quantities. And I eat a granola bar for breakfast pretty much everyday M-F.

I'd love to see these threads. We're not great about meal planning because I eat a vegan diet and Christine doesn't. I'm also happy to eat the same thing for a few days (soups, salads, etc) so often make a big batch and have it for dinner/lunch/lunch/dinner until it's done. I mostly do easy things like fruit or homemade banana bread for breakfasts. Also, what veggies I eat varies by season and week to week as I usually get it from a CSA and/or farmers market.
