I had my son on 7/27. My due date was 7/30 but since I am AMA they would not let me go past my due date and with that in mind they scheduled my induction for 7/29. I was induced for my last pregnancy and although the induction turned out great, I was super afraid that this induction would not be as easy because they were planning to do it a wee bit different from last time. On Sunday, I was moaning to my mother about not wanting an induction but that night I had the worse time getting settled to sleep. I stayed up buying stuff offline etc. etc. I finally fell asleep around 3 am only to wake up at 4:30. I went to the bathroom and noticed some blood, my back was hurting so I woke up my dh and told him I was in labor.I labored for about a half hour and told him we needed to head out the pain was coming too quickly and too strong to be in the early stages of labor. We headed to the hospital and I was admitted by 6:45. In triage, the checked me and rushed me to l&d and said I was ready. In l&d my doctor checked me and said the baby was right there- I was writhing around in so much pain and begging for the epi. My doctor was great and assured that I could quickly get the epi. I can remember having to sign something and I couldn't even remember my married name, my husband said I scribbled something and told him f-it, I don't care! Got the epi and things felt so much better. it seems like as soon as it took effect, I was instructed to push. I pushed twice and he was here. My third one was the biggest- 8lbs 11.5 oz 21 inches. He is perfect. He scored 9s on his Apgars. He is sleeping and nursing like a champ. The past week has been a blur but we are getting settled into being a family of 5. My mother is here and she is a godsend, I don't think I would be able to keep up with my toddler and the baby.
Thanks for all of your support/advise during this pregnancy.
Congrats!! Your story scares me about how fast subsequent babies come!
My second baby was born 40 minutes after getting to the hospital. I never developed regular contractions, just really painful ones. I almost didn't even go in when I did because of how irregular they were!

Yeah, mine weren't regular they were just so painful that I knew it must be the real deal. I delivered within an hour of getting to the hospital and the main thing was waiting on the epi and the team to get things set up. Third baby came super fast!
