How was your weekend?

It was super busy, but pretty awesome.

Friday night we moved the bikes to the roof to get a head start on Saturday mornings classes.  We took our friends that helped us out to a casual dinner afterwards.

Saturday, got up super early and taught two amazing classes.  We had some local vendors on the roof with us and it made the event really special.  Everyone went bananas!!  We put everything back, showered, and went to the track with friends.  They all wanted to go out in town after, but we were too pooped.

Sunday we slept in and then headed to the track again.  Jerry has won big bucks almost every time!!!

My weekend was great.

Friday we went over to a friends house for dinner/fire pit.

Saturday we did some stuff around the house, then had some friends over to our house for dinner/fire pit.

Sunday we took the kayaks out into the bay. It would have been nice, but there a wind that made the bay SO choppy. I don't normally wear a life jacket when kayaking, but keep it in the boat. I decided to put it on. It was fun going up and down all the waves, but SO MUCH WORK! Plus, we ave recreational kayaks, bot sea kayaks.

Sunday night we hung around the house and one of our friends popped in for a visit.

Had a good dinner and conversation Friday night. Then stayed up too late Netflixing.

Saturday had great lunch and more good conversation. Saturday night had a giant margarita chatted forever w a new friend and almost closed down the strip club.

Sunday went to lunch w the BF and then watched movies and did dinner w new friend.

Lots of great chats and laughing.

Friday, we drove to Austin and got there just in time for the 7 week old to be fussy. Then BIL got in his drunken, argumentative mood and got on H's every last nerve. But he drunkenly told me once again how proud he is of me and my promotion at work, so I don't care that he annoyed H.

Saturday, we (H, me, and BIL's family) met another couple with a baby (funny how their circle has changed) for brunch and had the most amazing tacos ever! We all tried to nap, but the 2yo screamed the whole time. Then we went for a swim and the 2yo threw a fit. We cooked dinner and took a walk with the kids. 

Sunday, SIL and I took the 2yo swimming and I worked on my tan. We cleaned up then went to lunch where I had a delicious chicken sandwich and got the fuck annoyed out of me by the toddler.

Once we finally got away from the chaos, I did some shopping for workout clothes and we came home.

Fun! And exhausting.

Thursday night we went to an outdoor concert, then to our neighbors' house for drinks. Friday we slept in, then drove to NYC for G's cousin's wedding weekend. Checked into the hotel and then met MyName for drinks and dinner Saturday we went to the Chelsea Market for lunch and then walked around High Line Park. Got dressed up and walked to the wedding, then back to the hotel's rooftop deck for the reception. It was a gorgeous wedding and we had a great time dancing and enjoying the view. Sunday we slept as late as possible, then drove home. G made delicious homemade pasta for dinner and I passed out on the couch early.

It was productive. We did a ton of yard work that had been neglected and I worked in my classroom for a few hours yesterday, then continued doing work stuff at home.

I am so sad this is my last week of summer though And I have a ton of appointments and lesson planning to do instead of enjoying it.

We did do a few fun things, like go to an outdoor bar to listen to a band and see a movie with a friend.

Friday I flew into Calgary and one of MH's best friends was on the flight, also flying to Vancouver. He was going to see his brother for the weekend. Our flight to Van ended up being cancelled and the next flight was 6 hours later. We immediately hit up a bar in the airport and started drinking. All of a sudden 4 hours had gone by, so we checked in with the airline. They had a flight leaving in 20 minutes we could get on. As it turned out it was a new plane they brought in for our flight since the late flight was delayed until almost midnight.

Saturday was the funeral and MH and I left at 5am Sunday to drive home. Longest drive ever, but we made it and are alive to tell the tale.

I went into work today and our Internet and phones went down. I came home to work and cannot connect to our intranet, so I am currently waiting for the help desk to call me and watching Live with Kelly and Michael.

Friday night I caught up with some friends at a microbrewery for HH. Tried out a new restaurant and had the BEST gazpacho!

Saturday we went to the trail for a few hours, went out to dinner later. Rented a movie afterwards and relaxed at home.

Yesterday I cleaned the house; my ILs are staying with us Tues - Tues. They're going to be house hunting back up our way. S's dad has had some issues lately and I think they would like to be closer to family rather than being so far away from everyone.

latte - Yep, I understood.

He's OK, just getting up there in age so I think they're taking that more into consideration and the fact that the majority of family is in the northeast.

My weekend was great! Got to hang out with glw and G on Friday, which was fun. (How did you like the Highline? It's just a park, right? haha)

Saturday I picked up my CSA share, got everything prepped/stored, and cleaned a little. Then I met my friend for drinks in our neighborhood and ended up getting home around 2am. We had fun, but she was a little emotional about stuff (she thinks her bf is going to propose on their vacation in September) so it was an...interesting...night.

Sunday I slept in and didn't do shit except sit on my ass and watch Netflix. It was glorious!

I loved it, lol. There was an orchestra playing, and I got to sit with my feet in the "stream" that runs through part of it, and build a tower with Lego. Obvs there was smoking and making out involved as well.
