bcarp30 I also chose more shots over prometrium! We eventually ran out of real estate on my butt and had to switch though. loira I'm so happy for you!!! Call back and ask the sex! I have my anatomy scan tomorrow and I'm super nervous. FX FX FX everything is okay please! I finally slept last night, first time since Saturday! I'm so sick. Another doc appt this morning, hoping they give me some good drugs. This whole pregnancy immune system is no joke. I keep getting accidentally outed on FB when we haven't announced yet. I'm thinking about doing something now if the a/s is okay. I'd like to wait until 24 weeks if we can.

boiler717, good luck tomorrow! At this point, I'm just looking forward to the anatomy scan as a check to see that the baby is progressing, but I'm sure the anxiety over what we'll find out will start up as it gets closer.
I accidentally outed myself on Facebook last week (alluded to the pregnancy in a comment to someone else, but of course FB shares every damn thing you do on there, so everyone saw it), so then I just went for the real announcement the next day. It was earlier than I had planned to do it, but whatever.
I am having the worst time concentrating at work. Please tell me this is just a first tri thing/phase and it'll get better? I can't go this entire pregnancy being this scatterbrained. I've got things that depend on me being detailed oriented and I'm afraid things are going to get missed.
boiler717 I feel like we are getting close to running out of real estate! I did the PIO with DD from weeks 8-15 so hoping I can make it the same length! I'll think good thoughts for you tomorrow! I love the a/s because they look so much like a real baby! It's weird though to see them moving so much and not be able to feel them. I think you can't count regular kicks until 28 weeks, which felt like forever. We also didn't announce until 20 weeks on FB. I told people I knew IRL here and there but just didn't feel like putting it on FB. I'll probably do the same with this one.

I'm 15 weeks now, and it's definitely gotten better. I think part of the reason I couldn't concentrate at times in the first tri was that I was so tired. But other times, it was just random absent-mindedness. It seems like one of the weirder side effects of pregnancy. I can totally understand how round ligament pain is related to pregnancy, but not so much getting less smart!

Oh it's bad. Pre IVF until now. It's getting better but not back to normal. Just take WAY more notes / reminders than normal. Says the girl who drove to the gym twice without shoes on.
@cookiemonster03 I am right there with you for the random stupid thing!! I was making DD mac & cheese and after I dumped the noodles in a strainer, instead of making the cheese sauce, I washed the pot and put it away.
Do you already know the sex of the babies? Glad to hear you had a great appt!
I hate to break it to you guys but pregnancy brain just sticks around and becomes mom brain. Thank god I went to grad school before I had a baby. No way I would be able to do it now with my mush brain.
I hope I'm like cactuscookie and it gets better when I'm not so exhausted.
You are right @boiler77 I'll have to find a notepad to keep out on my desk so I can take notes to make sure I get everything done. I should also start putting reminders in outlook at work to ensure I get other things done by their deadlines.
ETA: I guess I didn't notice it as much when I had DD because I was so much younger and didn't have a full time job.
Baby looked great today!! Measured a couple of days ahead but I'm pretty sure they're keeping my due date the same. OB said my m/c risk is down to under 5% now and at 13 weeks goes to under 2%. And she's having their office call my insurance to ask about the materniT21 test but said if it isn't covered they will still do the screening that gives odds but not %s. Feeling more and more confident but anxious to get the testing done one way or another!
KB I am dying! Did someone come in the bathroom and the noise woke you up? Or did they knock on your stall door?
They came into the bathroom. At work we have a large bathroom with 3 stalls. I was in the first one and totally dozed off. When they opened the door to the bathroom it creaked and I startled awake. So embarrassing.
Yay loira!!! Anatomy scan went fairly well. Baby has pyelectasis which hopefully will resolve on its own. We go back in 6 weeks for a recheck. They are doing it at an even higher risk MFM than the MFM that did today's scan because they have a peds cardiologist there. They didn't see anything with the heart during the scan but there is a higher chance with IVF for a heart defect so they will have the cardiologist there to do an echo that day if needed. Just the other week we were talking with two neighbors whose oldest kids both had pyelectasis which was crazy!
Pyelectasis is enlargement of the renal pelvis. Usually resolves on its own but can lead to hydronephrosis (fluid in the kidney).
I'm sorry you got a less than perfect report, but am glad it's something that will likely resolve on its own. I know it sucks to have to see a specialist, but I can tell you from experience that they are super nice and will do everything they can to calm your anxiety, even if it means spending extra time explaining things to make sure you understand. I have everything crossed for your echo.
That ON maternity tunic (also comes in regular) that was posted on ML is AMAZING. I had ordered it in every color and went back and ordered a second set.
