3. What are you doing with the last few weeks of summer? Any reflections on upcoming fall activities potentially with a baby? (BTS, pumpkin patches, etc)
4. Pregnancy vents/randoms.
longtimenopost are you here? FX you have a still sticky baby.
3. We're enjoying the pool and getting excited for our vacation next month. O's passport should arrive any day now. I'm looking forward to the state fair, pumpkin patch, and dressing her up for Halloween.
2. How are you feeling? Decent, but ready to be done.
3. What are you doing with the last few weeks of summer? Any reflections on upcoming fall activities potentially with a baby? (BTS, pumpkin patches, etc) Waiting for this baby to arrive, that's pretty much it. What is BTS? No planned activities - any activities we do will be more for DS than the new baby.
4. Pregnancy vents/randoms. So excited to be almost done!! Induction is Monday, but hoping she decides to come sooner. My parents are coming back over tonight, so we won't have to scramble for anyone to watch DS, which is a relief.
2. How are you feeling? Not bad for 3rd trimester. Realizing that I have higher blood sugar (although not officially GD, yay) made me incorporate protein in every meal and eat less carbs overall. That has helped with the exhaustion in addition to adding iron supplements because I am mildly anemic.
3. What are you doing with the last few weeks of summer? Any reflections on upcoming fall activities potentially with a baby? (BTS, pumpkin patches, etc) Fall is my FAVORITE season. This summer has actually been pretty mild so I've been lucky that way. I'm so excited for pumpkin spice everything and think this may be the first time we take DS1 ToTing. Still have to think about a potential matching theme with DS2. EEEEEE!
4. Pregnancy vents/randoms. I have some leftover birth PTSD from DS's NICU stay which I discussed with my OB yesterday because it's making me reconsider VBAC. I talked to her about being upset that I still didn't know why he was sent to the NICU and she helped talk me through the fact that having more dedicated 1-1 nursing staff is actually helpful if there are any signs of problems, even minimal ones. She shared with me that there is a tendency for boys to have more respiratory issues and have longer and more frequent NICU stays - especially Caucasian boys - which they refer to as "wimpy white boy syndrome". I know DS got oxygen at birth and he looked really beat up from being sunny side up so probably they were taking a better safe than sorry approach. Anyway I feel much more in control this time of the potential outcomes and will be speaking up about things like formula IF DS2 ends up in the nursery. Just sharing my experiences since I know you had a similar birth experience humpforfree
2. How are you feeling? Really good. I feel like me again. So glad to be done with the first tri!
3. What are you doing with the last few weeks of summer? Any reflections on upcoming fall activities potentially with a baby? (BTS, pumpkin patches, etc) We've been having a super low-key summer and it's been great, although I wish we'd squeezed in some beach time. In October, we're going to Ireland, which will be fantastic. Also looking forward to dressing up DD for Halloween and watching her run around.
4. Pregnancy vents/randoms. I told my boss today. He gave me a hearty congrats. I told my teammate and was like, "AGAIN?!" Ha. Gotta love guys with no filters.
1. How far along are you? 20 weeks tomorrow! I can't believe this baby is already half-baked. Ha.
2. How are you feeling? I've been really good lately. Starting to feel like all food doesn't sound gross, which is good.
3. What are you doing with the last few weeks of summer? Any reflections on upcoming fall activities potentially with a baby? (BTS, pumpkin patches, etc) We really don't have any specific plans. Halloween is way too far away to think about for me, but I'm also not a Halloween person.
4. Pregnancy vents/randoms. I desperately need some additional maternity clothes. I donated my jeans and work pants from last time because they were wider legged than I would ever wear now.
1. How far along are you? 26w 5d - I can see the 3rd tri from here, yikes!
2. How are you feeling? Mostly fine, other than some pregnancy insomnia & being sore. Also, feeling huge. I feel like I went from, 'Hey, I thought you show sooner with your second, where's my bump?' to 'HOLY SHIT I WAS THIS BIG WHEN I WAS 9 MONTHS PREGNANT AND STILL HAVE 13+ WEEKS TO GO'. I'm scared.
3. What are you doing with the last few weeks of summer?Any reflections on upcoming fall activities potentially with a baby? (BTS, pumpkin patches, etc) We have one more weekend away planned for our place in NH and a bunch of other cook outs/birthdays/end of summer events through the next few weekends. Pretty solidly booked into September. Then bring on all the fall things, it's my favorite time of year! My birthday! DS' birthday! Pumpkins! Pretty leaves! Sweatshirts and sitting by the fire! (Mmm, fall beers)
4. Pregnancy vents/randoms. I have my GD test this afternoon. I have no reason to suspect anything is wrong, but I'm feeling like I might fail. I didn't have it with DS, but things just feel kind of different this time. I will binge on all things tonight/this weekend so I can enjoy before getting results, lol
2 - I'm so anxious all the time Some of which I know is normal "about to add another kid to the mix" but a lot is due to lame stuff going on.
3 - modified bed rest has us inside all the time so I'm trying to come up with fun stuff for DS to do. We did finger paint in he bathtub the other day and he LOVED it! Hoping I feel good enough by Halloween weekend (baby should be 6-8 weeks old) to fo to the family lake house for my 30th bday.
4 - I can't wait to be 37 weeks and not have to worry that any activity I do could be too much
Tmi tmi question: if you were pretty sure you had a hemmie and it wasn't really causing serious problems, would you just koko or bring it up with the doctor? Asking for a friend.
TMI answer:
I freaked out because I had a lot of blood earlier and figured out it was not coming from my vag but...there. This was very recent so I suspect it was already there but didn't bother me earlier. I waited until my next scheduled appointment (about a week later) and brought it up since it's pretty painful and still occasionally bleeds. My OB said it is very, very common in 2nd pregnancies and that will probably get worse if I deliver vaginally because pushing. Womp womp.
I also need some maternity clothes glitzy07. Looking for tunics and leggings that could double as nursing wear in a couple months. Anyone have suggestions?

Let me know if you find good stuff! I'm pregnant in the complete opposite season as last time, so I'll need new everything. Right now I have one pair of black work skinny pants, one pair of skinny jeans (which I sort of hate because they fall down), a pair of yoga pants, and a few cotton shirts. I generally wear pretty flowy tops for work anyway, so I've been wearing them up until now but even they're starting to get a little awkward fitting and I also don't want to stretch them out so I can't wear them afterward.
I just want to live in my yoga pants and tami tank tops, but unfortunately that doesn't work for my actual life.

When I was around 5 months pregnant with DS we went to the ER at 11pm because I had a ton of bleeding after going to the bathroom. Turns out it was just a hemmi that burst

Tmi question: I can't remember and Google has lots of different answers. I lost all or part of my mucous plug this morning but am not quite 36 weeks, on modified rest and as of last Sunday 3cm & 50% effaced. I should call my midwife right?

@republicrat I am still here! Thanks for posting - I've been in a meeting since 8, ugh!
1. 36w2d
2. Still so swollen. My feet and ankles are freakish! Also DH and I dtd for the first time since 1st tri so a little sore!
3. I am loving swimming with DD but looking forward to being able to go for walks again! It's just too hot outside now.
4. I got some upsetting news at the doc this week. Baby girl is perfect - measuring 7 lbs already! All my girls have been big for their gestation. But my MFM said the hospital won't allow induction or RCS before 39 weeks without medical indication, and apparently unexplained 3rd tri stillbirth isn't on the list. WTF?!?! I had it set in my mind that 38 weeks was our goal and I don't think I can handle it mentally to go further, knowing she's good and ready and anything could happen after that. My MFM agrees with me and he said he'd brainstorm, but in the meantime starting next week I'm planning to do everything I can to go into labor! I just want her out alive.

I would call. They might not have you come in unless you are having contractions, but at least you'll be on their radar if things move quickly. I know having a former 26 wkr changes my view, but just know that you are at a really great gestation and most babies born at 36 weeks do really well with little or no NICU time!

1. How far along are you? Measly 9 weeks today. I feel like I have been pregnant FOREVER.
2. How are you feeling? Still exhausted, still chubby, still really blah.
3. What are you doing with the last few weeks of summer? Any reflections on upcoming fall activities potentially with a baby? (BTS, pumpkin patches, etc) We are going to a baseball game in the crazy humidity tomorrow, then we will probably try to go to the pool one more time and hopefully the good playgrounds a few times. This fall we will do a day where we go to a pumpkin patch and petting zoo. Probably an apple orchard one day too.
4. Pregnancy vents/randoms. Can 1st tri please hurry up?
2. How are you feeling? Remember when I said I would be happier if I was throwing up? That was a lie. Ugh. And my boobs are so sore, even showering hurts.
3. What are you doing with the last few weeks of summer? Any reflections on upcoming fall activities potentially with a baby? (BTS, pumpkin patches, etc) I have a wedding next weekend. My ILs are coming for a visit over Labor Day ( ?). After that, I hope things calm down for a while. Fall is my favorite with apple picking and pumpkin everything!
4. Pregnancy vents/randoms. My nausea was so bad yesterday I got trapped at work for an hour before I could drive home. I'd prefer not to have a repeat of that again.

With everything else that has gone on I thought it would probably be best for me to call too but needed some validation. I think this may put me on full bed rest for a week but that's ok if it means baby stays out for a week.

Oh yeah, @vicmo, I had that last time. I spent 6 days worrying about it before I went in and my midwife was nonchalantly like, "just a hemmie. NBD." and i felt dumb.
Thanks @republicrat and namasteak. I was pretty sure it would be considered normal in pregnancy.
I would recommend a squatty potty if you don't have one already, only wipe with prep h wipes & use the extra strength cream. The ones I had from pushing DS1 have gotten a little worse but only in the last few week. I think those 3 things have made a difference!
2. Varies by day. Today, pretty good! Having a lot of trouble with acid reflux this week, and trying to pinpoint what the causes are. Going to bed w/in 3 hours of eating seems to be one, and dairy oddly. Coffee and chocolate are fine. That's better than the reverse I guess! But I am actually tracking my intake on MFP to make sure I'm getting enough calories & macronutrients. Struggling with protein.
3. I entered a 5k open water swim race on 8/29. I'm excited. Seems like a badass way to ring in 3rd tri. Fall might be rough. I have to travel to my brother's wedding at 34 weeks, and fit into a non-maternity bridesmaid dress. Even with alterations & extra fabric, eesh.
4. People have started asking me about where we are registered, so I keep mentioning to Calvin that we need to pick out X, Y, and Z things to flesh out the registry. You know, like a baby monitor, bottles/accessories, diaper bag, car seat accessories, thermometer, etc. He is totally not tuned into the little things. He thinks we're already basically done. This has been a struggle. At least I get to pick most everything out.
@vicmo - I was pretty sure I had one a week or two ago, but I was between appointments and didn't separately call. I might've mentioned it if I happened to have an app't. As it turned out though, it has resolved itself (through the miracles of home remedies: Metamucil (4 tbsp/day), a high fiber diet on top of that, and soothing topical tx) so I don't really feel a need to mention it at my app't on Monday. And also? LOL at the "miracle of life."
longtimenopost - hang in there lady. I am looking forward to hearing that your DD3 is safely here.
2. Pretty good! Although I think I'm starting to get a little heartburn/reflux in the evenings - which didn't start until like 20+ weeks last time. Ugh
3. I can't wait until fall when it's a little cooler, the mosquitos aren't as bad, and I can actually play with DD outside. Hoping to finally get some good use out of the water table!
4. Leaving next week for a 3 week trip to visit family…and it occurred to me that while most of my clothes still fit at the moment, that might not be the case by the end of the trip. Thinking of picking up a few maternity tanks and a belly band this weekend. I have plenty of mat clothes from my last PG but I didn't start needing them until I was a little farther along, so they're mostly fall/winter (jeans, sweaters). Still too hot for that!

1. 32.5 weeks 2. So sore. My ache in my abs/stomach/muscle has become sharp today. Turning wrong, sneezing, bleeping my nose, yelling all kill. I've called the doctor and the nurse told me to go to the er which seems like an overreaction. The doc actually left me a voicemail while I was on the phone with the nurse so I am waiting a call back from her before I go anywhere. 3. Hanging out with the toddler- lots of backyard baby pool and water table time since I can sit and he entertains himself for hours. We have something pretty much every weekend before baby comes- time is flying and I am excited and scared at the same time. Lol. I have thought about the fall and am planning on going back to our pumpkin patch for pictures of the TWO this year. I've also been in contact with a photog who will do a newborn/family mini session with us for a crazy awesome price! 4. Just this awful pain. Blah. Hopefully it is fixable or something we can treat. I can't go another two months like this. I actually don't know that I would be able to push out a baby with this pain. Ugh.
1. 19w5d almost half baked!! Measuring 21w which would be a Christmas Day delivery! 2. Pretty good!! 3. Hanging in there, ready for cooler weather. 4. I am over the family demands on my time and energy. I am GESTATING. Step off.
2. How are you feeling? Mostly fine... exhaustion is my only symptom so far and it hasn't been major. Craving salty foods.
3. What are you doing with the last few weeks of summer? Any reflections on upcoming fall activities potentially with a baby? (BTS, pumpkin patches, etc) We've got something going on every weekend (which is unlike us) so it feels busy. I also just booked 4 nights at the Great Wolf Lodge the week of Labor Day. I am unreasonably excited. We are normally big travelers on vacations, but DH and I are just done thinking and planning and this place is basically a million activities in one location and requires zero thought to keep our children happy. Plus, a suite where the kids will sleep in their own room/alcove.
4. Pregnancy vents/randoms. I want an early dating u/s, damnit! My last 2 pregnancies, I had an ultrasounds at 7/8 weeks and saw the heartbeat and could start telling people pretty soon after the nausea started. Now I have to wait until 11w2d for my first confirmation that everything is fine, and by then most of the nausea should be over so I won't be dying to ask for help.
