I LOVED a book series (maybe three of them?) when I was around this age and now I can't think of the name and it's killing me.
It was a pair of girls that were best friends (maybe there was a third at one point?) and they lived on a hill. One of them was named Tilly? And then other was... Becky? Or something? One of them possibly had a live in cook? They had adventures blah blah blah and met at a streetlight.
I'm grasping at straws desperately googling and I hate that that's all I remember! If someone remembers it based on just this sad description I will be so impressed and grateful!

Oh, I have one also.
Mine featured a girl who was bring raised by a single mom. The mom was dating some otherwise fantastic guy who had bad breath and there were jokes about how she would eat pastrami sandwiches and onions before their dates so her breath would be just as bad as his.
The girl's arch-nemesis at school was a blond with a crooked tooth that only showed when she smiled a certain way. She was otherwise perfect.
I remember really liking this book, but I don't remember what it was.

This sounds very familiar
I recognize it as well. I'm going to see if I can find it.

I also remember that the girl has a goal of never letting the phone ring more than once, so she was often flying across to house to get to the kitchen before the second ring.
And someone dressed up as the tooth fairy for Halloween, I think it was the blond enemy. I actually copied the costume idea myself when I was in 6th grade.
