Congrats on the healthy girl loira ((G22)) I love your name list ssg73!
I'm in the middle of my "2 weeks after appointment and freaking out that things aren't okay" so I'm anxiously awaiting next Friday. I also scheduled our 20 week yesterday and we did it with an MFM because of some family history so I'm looking forward to a nice long look at baby and hopefully a clean bill of health. We've had our boy name picked out for years and have 2 girl names that will go to the hospital with us and if it's a girl, we'll decide when we meet her.
Names are so fun! I love hearing what people chose and why. loira I think I don't like NN's because I never had one really. My name is not good for them and the only one I had was Bails but I would never go by that.
ssg73 I love your names!! Lucy is one of my tops, it's just such a sweet name! My friend is due any day with a boy they are naming Leo too!

I'm in my anxious phase too. I told DH I'd hopefully be past the constant anxiety after we got the chromosome screening results, and I have been a lot better. But I'm bothered that I'm past 16 weeks, and no matter how often I try to be still and focus on my belly, I can't feel movement. I really thought I'd be an overacheiver on this, which is silly.
OB appointment tomorrow. I'm assuming there won't be an ultrasound but they'll check the heartbeat.
I didn't feel anything u tile about 18 or 19 weeks with my dd. even then it was like hmm is that gas or baby.
We are big into family names over here. Dd is named Ella Grace dw's grandmother was Ella and dw's mother's middle name is Grace. Lucy was dw's grandmother's middle name. I mean really Ella Lucy how freaking cute is that. Elizabeth is my sil's name and Isabel is my grandmother's middle name. Leo is my grandfather and James is my father in law.
I've only felt baby a few times over the last week. Even then, I'm just mostly sure it's what I felt. Hard to tell with all the shifting and stretching, but it's what I imagine it would feel like and where I think it should be. I'm mostly anxiety free until an appointment is upon me. I have one this Friday, and I'm very much looking forward to the doppler.

You have a lot of great names to choose from in your family! Ella Grace is such a pretty name.
Love all the family names, ssg73. You're lucky you have good ones to chose from Baby's middle name will be my middle name, which was also my mother's middle name. First name is one we both happened to like. My name is a nickname, and as a child I was adamant that I wouldn't give my child a nickname to go by only because I hated speaking up to teachers during roll call on the first day of school. I don't really care about this now (maybe she won't be shy like me anyway), but it happened to work out that she won't go by a nickname.
cactuscookie, with V I didn't feel sure movement until 17-18 weeks, and even then it was not consistent until about 22 weeks. With this one, I've been feeling what I think is movement for a couple of weeks now, but they're few and far between, and I have to really concentrate. It's maddening because I just want to feel her move every day so I know she's okay, but so far she's not cooperating.
loira Congrats on a healthy girl. I'm sure that was bittersweet for you.
We haven't discussed names at all and I don't have anything that I love. I still love the name we gave DS and I'm having a hard time finding anything that comes close.

I think I might have felt the baby a while ago? But it wasn't fluttering, like most people describe the first feeling of movement. It was nudges, off and on in the same spot for an hour, an inch or two to the left and down from my belly button. Baby apparently got stuck in a corner. (But nobody puts baby in a corner!)
Or maybe it's random uterus twitches, WTF do I know.

That's what it felt like for me too. I questioned it since it wasn't fluttering, but it was pretty much in the same place as you described.

I started feeling "something" during week 18. Flutters that I couldn't tell if it was gas or baby because it was so faint. But partway through week 19 it was clear it was baby, just not consistent. And the only time I felt him was at night when I would lay in bed and concentrate really hard on it. Soon after that it was more apparent. Now he occasionally kicks hard enough to wake me up if I'm sleeping lightly. He did it twice when I was dozing on a flight last week and I flailed awake like a crazy person. I hope no one saw it. lol

Hm, I sort of just hinted to someone at work that we had fertility assistance. We have kept that very much on the down-low with local people, not at all explaining why I was gone so much (since I had to take full days off to travel for each monitoring appointment). But her son and DIL have done IVF three times, so she's apparently familiar enough with the process to read through the lines. She was just telling me about the progesterone shots her DIL is taking (because their IVF was successful!) and I said that I wasn't on "that one." Ugh.
I don't know if I should go tell her the basic story and tell her that no one else here knows, or just leave it.

I didn't realize I was feeling DS till about 20 weeks, no joke.
This time I've felt one baby pretty much every day since 14w but I'm still not totally sure if I've felt the other. I'm assuming baby A is too low but maybe I'm feeling both closer together and just assuming I'm only feeling B up higher, I don't know. I'm actually a little nervous about my ultrasound tomorrow since A was also the smaller one.

I'm sure everything will be great. Update us when you can.
Only three more days of Crinone and estrogen for me! Yippeee I have my 11 week ultrasound Friday and then I am officially released to my OB (I thought for sure they would release me at 9 weeks, but I don't mind one extra ultrasound). We are telling H's parents this weekend as well as my siblings.
H won't discuss baby names until we know the sex which I am disappointed about. We are one and done so I'd like the chance to pick out both a girl and a boy name.
We had our 14 week appointment yesterday. Brought dd with us. She was really excited to hear the heart beat. We made our next appointment and will see the mfm first then go and see the ob so we get another ultrasound. I like this every other appointment ultrasound thing we have going. Other than that it was a quick appointment. Is thane told us we don't need to do the neural tube bloodwork because the mfm is doing the u/s. Dw's Bp is slowly creeping up again. She is medicated for it(has been for years) it was super low during her first tri but it is now back to her normal Bp. I hope she doesn't have to up her mess too soon. I really want to make it further into pregnancy for that. Boo
ssg73 fingers crossed that her BP doesn't rise above her 'normal' levels. I believe its very common for the BP to fall in the first trimester due to the increased blood volume and then to start returning to 'normal' in the second trimester. Fingers crossed for you guys

All was great today! Baby A is a day ahead, baby B is exactly on schedule. We got a ton of pics on a disc. AND it was pretty darn clear that one is a boy and one is a girl! I took my parents since they're in town and DH was at work, so then I went to a cupcake place and had them put pink and blue frosting inside which we cut after dinner. We're all thrilled, it's what all 3 of us wanted. Now to plan the nursery and pick names!
I'm so glad you had a great spot ginkgoleaf! And woo hoo for team purple!!
ssg73 I hope your DW's BP goes down. BP is so scary. Are her meds okay for pregnancy, just not something you want to take? Lots of good thoughts for low BP!

@bcarp. She switched this medication when we started ttc. We actually met with an mfm got the ok to ttc and she switched her meds to a pregnancy safe one. She has been on higher doses before so we are sure they will go up we were just hoping we would get a bit farther. It just stinks because she has a significant risk for pre e and hellp syndrome. We will keep an eye on it (she takes her Bp everyday and see what the mfm says.
That's a bummer it's starting to go up so early ssg73. I'll think low BP juju to you guys. I have generally low blood pressure but there were a couple times with DD it was high. Fx it was just a fluke!
I definitely felt the baby move today. It's funny how you can go from "I think, maybe? ..." to "oh yes, that was baby" in a matter of days. Perhaps she knew I needed something good today, because we just cancelled our trip to the Caribbean a mere 48 hours out thanks to an incoming hurricane. We were able to get the miles back that we used to book the flights, but we're still out over $1,000. Massive FWP, but I'm so disappointed. We're currently working on Plan B.
