WTF: -Why are all the calls from our companies call in line routing to my phone, so annoying! -I have plans to go over to a guys house (I have been to before) go swimming, eat dinner, and have sex, but I am thinking of cancelling and hanging out with my friend and her 11 yr old nephew instead. I think I am def over dating/fucking for a while.
Random: -I got my sneak peek of my pics back yesterday and my unedited gallery. I have it narrowed down to about 40 or so I want on my final disk. I can't wait for my blog to go up later this week, so I can share, I am just so proud of them. I already know which one is getting blown up on canvas.
WTF: Time! Why do you have to go so fast when I am sleeping?!? I didn't get to bed until 1am and no sooner had I closed my eyes that it was 7am and the alarm was going off!
Random: it's a good thing I cleaned the house before my date

I actually talked to this guy Monday night on the phone and I clicked with him. He was *maybe* going to call me when he left dinner with his friend. He didn't and I didn't mind because I was tired and I'm totally SUPAH BREEZY! I didn't hear anything from him yesterday, which again is fine with me, but I wanted to text him today just to kind of keep our communication going. He has a really time intensive job which works great for me because I love to be alone and he lives like 10 minutes from me.
Okay, all that rambling and backstory for me to ask, what should I text him today?

Send him a pic of your boobs!!! Kidding! Only kidding! At least wait til you've gone out a few times lol.
Have you guys talked about meeting up? I'd probably text something along the lines of "I enjoyed talking with you the other night. When are you free so we can meet and talk in person?" Or ask about a specific day to see if he's free.
WTF: I slept terribly again. My allergies and sinuses are aching today. My self esteem hurts after the most unflattering picture ever of me was posted in the local paper.
I'm back at work today. J and I drove down to Charlotte for a long weekend and got back last night. We really like it down there and think we'd like to relocate. It will be quite a transition being born and raised in NYC, but I think it's truly a better lifestyle down there. The thought of finding jobs and a home is a bit daunting, but I think it will be totally worth it once we are settled. It's clean and beautiful, people are friendly and the cost of living will allow us to be in a great situation. It may be a little while before it all falls into place.
verycontrary247, thanks for the tip on Amelie's. It was great!
When I shower, it leaks into my downstairs neighbor's apartment, he said his ceiling is starting to cave in. The plumber came by yesterday and said they are going to have to tear down my shower. He didn't give me any other details. I'm waiting on the call today for the lead plumber.
Luckily my bathroom has a separate shower and bathtub, so I'll still be able to bathe when they are working on my shower.
pantsoffdanceoff - I have the paragard (non-hormonal IUD) and I love it. Yes, the cramps can suck and your periods will be heavier, but to me it's worth it not to have to deal with hormones. Let me know if you have questions. What BC are you using now?

WTF: -I have mosquito bites form this weekend that itch and won't go away. I am pretty sure it is actually chicken pox and I am dying (I have never had them). -What the fuck anxiety. STOP! I can't handle feeling nauseous 24/7.
Wonderful: -My friends are taking me out for my last hurrah in the city next week! I am so excited they too the time to plan this for me.

Well, up until about a month ago I was using abstinence, lol. Now it is just condoms. My periods now only last about 2 days and I'm on no BC.
jojoandleo, if you haven't had the chicken pox shot, get it. Chicken pox is severe when adults get it.
I had a shot in high school, but just one. I think you are supposed to get a follow up over a certain age/weight? But I don't remember. I just remember they wouldn't let me enroll in school until I had one due to an outbreak. Which is weird because now it seems a bunch of people don't vaccinate and their kids enroll in school. I don't know if times have changed or my mom lied to me to make me get shots.

2 days? I'm so jealous! I'm not going to lie, getting the IUD would be a huge adjustment. Obviously everyone is different, but generally speaking periods are heavier and last longer. But I still prefer the paragard over any other form of BC.
Im currently standing in line for the minion ride at universal with beer in hand. My boss told me to take off early and go have fun with my friend who is in town. My blog of my pics goes up tomorrow morning and I can't wait. Life is pretty good.
pantsoffdanceoff I have paragard as well and had minimal periods before. Now they are 4-6 days and fairly heavy with occasional cramps, I love it and am so glad I chose this form of BC.

I dream of Amelies. What did you get?
We shared an eclair with vanilla cream, a salted caramel brownie and a few different macarons. So good!

I have paraguard as well, and my experience is much like bl's. Awful cramps the first few months, but hardly any now. This month I had no idea it was even brewing! I'm tracking on an app just so I know when to expect it.

Would you say that your period is longer than it was pre-IUD?

its a little longer now. I think it was 4-5 days before and now it's 5-6. Not a huge difference.
WTF: I'm super sick and have a big meeting at 3:30. I can barely eat and have body aches. Wonderful: New guy is super proactive about making contact and making feel special. GIDDY!
WTF: My deodorant is not working today. Yikes. WTF: Am I going to eat for dinner tonight? Seriously. WTF: Money. Quit leaving my account!!!! Wonderful: I turned in a HUGE project at work today. I have one due next week and one in September, but holy crap I'm glad to get the big project done and filed. Wonderful: I was just handed a large cash bonus, which will help with the WTF @ Money. Wonderful: DD starts school next week. I'm so glad she's doing well and is excited for the next school year.
Got back from an evening 5k. It was SOOoOoooo hot and humid! But, I did so much better than the last one, which was also a hot day. I improved by just over 6 minutes and paced just under 11 min/mile.
Last night I went out with one of my best friends. We had an amazing time catching up. She was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer approximately 1 week before my surgery. She waited until after my hospital stay to tell me. She was doing chemo treatments while I was recovering. So we both were going through shitty times together.
We had a blast last night! We talked about the perks of our side effects Ie: she didn't have to shave and I don't have to sit down on dirty public toilets to pee (sorry if TMI but I've had to self catheterize since I was 4 yo)
The best part was when my friend was like " looking back on the days when we used to stay up until 4-5 in the morning drinking and then wake up and work a double and now look at us. Who would have thought we would be like this today?"
We stopped on the way to our event to get coffee. We were laughing because before we would stop to get beer, and now we are stopping to get coffee just to stay awake passed 8 PM! lol
