I'm going to Harry Potter world next month. My brother and I are going down to meet my Mom and Dad for a whirlwind 48 hours of theme parking. It's going to be fun.
I refuse to admit that summer is coming to a close.
School starts early here. I'm used to starting after Labor day too.
Here in MN it is a state law that public schools start the day after labor day unless it is an under performing school district. Those can start sooner and do.
I had a good meeting with a financial advisor this morning. It ended up running almost 2 hours! We got along well. He's also from NJ so that helped.
Date last night was good! We had a nice time and chatted about lots of things. A little weird after talking over text for so long, but good. I also have a second date with the scientist tomorrow evening.
sheesh...I finally have a chance to come up for air! My new boss isn't quite as...protective, I guess, as my old boss. She's pretty much put a rush on every single course we have in our queue. Everything has to be done RIGHT NOW. And of course, they have to be done ASAP because our developers dilly-dallied and missed their deadlines.
My old boss would have said, "Tough - they get done when they get done" (unless there was a true emergency like a class that had already been scheduled). It seems like my new boss is caving under the slightest amount of pressure from the developers.
This is making me dread the 4th quarter.
Anyway! I finished three courses today - woot! And now I can play with my new phone
And I got a reply to my thank you email from the guy who bought me dinner last week.
Oh? Share with the class?
Nothing to tell. Took myself out to eat last week. Ended up talking to a guy at the bar who was in town on business. He's married with a kid almost out of high school. He bought my dinner and the dinner of another patron who joined our conversation. He enjoyed the conversation and bought our meals as a thank you.
He gave us his card, so I wrote him a quick note thanking him. He got back to me tonight and said he was glad to do it.

No worries
You can read about her at the link then view the youtube video later. What she does is amazing, these kids would never have access to an education and she gives them one for free.
