By definition, a millennial is someone who came into adulthood in or around the year 2000. If you’re reading this, chances are you are one.

Though we're surprised this didn't come sooner, there is now an Instagram account dedicated solely to Gen-Y and their "struggles" of trying to make it in the big city. Founded by Elite Daily writers, Connor Toole and Alec MacDonald, "Millennials of New York," a satirical take on the wildly-popular blog “Humans of New York," is that kind of humor that makes you laugh and cringe at the same time.

And while it isn’t technically nonfiction, it is ridiculous in that kind-of relatable, kind-of over-the-top way. Here, you’ll find parodied "difficulties" that millennial New Yorkers encounter in the city, from attempting to achieve professional success by creating a viral meme, to snapping selfies, and finding comfort in reruns of Law & Order SVU. Despite their fictitious nature and general don’t-try-this-at-home essence, odds are they will resonate (in one way or another) with any young person living in New York City.

Yeah, so it’s made up by two guys making fun of “the struggle.” But, you know what they say…the struggle is real. And while this is not your typical millenial-meets-Manhattan love story, these posts will have you laughing.
