I just don't understand where y'all find these kinds of wives. I mean, I've met a few crazy ones but nothing on this level. Most of the wives I've met are smart, classy and totally unlike the stereotype I keep hearing about (but never experiencing).

Hmmm, if I hear of a wife driving to the field to fling divorce papers, I'm going to assume she's not crazy, but he is a lying cheating douche.

Of the others, about half seem legit crazy, and the other half seem more like an urban legend.

DH was pretty good friends with a guy in his old unit whose wife was insane. She once got mad at him for some stupid little thing and tried to run him down with their truck in the Texas Roadhouse parking lot.

I was at a get-together with her once. She spent a good ten minutes sitting in a chair psyching herself up to beat up a female SM that was supposedly sleeping with someone's husband. Girl was troubled.

The mommy group that dropped off their kids at the bus stop then walked with the younger ones around base. Seriously 30+ strollers/moms/wagons/kids. They had a really crappy reputation. They got our spouses group shut down b/c they were gossiping to the deployed husbands and getting commanders involved, etc.

Our guys have two gyms on post that are open only for them. Wives are allowed to use it during training cycles if they come in with their husbands or during deployments if they come in in groups of two or more. During the last deployment, a group of us would use the Crossfit type gym for a class BTN put together for us. One chick got on our private FRG FB page and posted that we needed to stop pretending to work out up there and stop trying to impress the rear d guys. "You women should be ashamed of your selves! You have husbands at war and this is how you behave!" There were some entertaining responses before it was deleted. My husband happened to be working with hers and was there when he got the "You need to put your wife in check before she "falls" down the steps at an FRG meeting" talk.
