I heard on the radio today that Giselle (Tom Brady's wife) I'd 5 months PG. The DJ said, if he did his calculations correct, that would make her due around the Super Bowl. He wondered, hypothetically, if Tom would play.
If you were Giselle, would you expect your H to skip the Super Bowl for the birth of your child?
My DH thinks there's no way Tom would skip it. Your thoughts?
I would understand if he had to play the game even if I was transitioning at kickoff. It would be terrible but the Superbowl is like the whole point of being a pro football player.
I'm so excited - the Pats are playing a preseason in Tampa this Friday night, and I can't wait to see my favorite quarterback
Are you going to the game? We tried bringing D to training camp last week. I dressed him in his Pats gear ;D But it was too freakin' hot for all of us. We didn't stay long.

I hope you took pics of him in his Pats gear
We're going - E figures they'll play the "real" players for the first half, since we're still fairly early in pre-season. We'll split after they bring the B and C team in.
The one stipulation E had about buying a house was there could be no restrictions on installing a DirecTV dish, because he "needed" the NFL Sunday ticket to see his boys play
I wouldn't expect him to skip it. Although he is Tom Brady, who is on my Douchebag list (I have a list of players I won't draft during FF, my main rule is Don't Draft A Douchebag, and no I have no set rules as to getting on the list, its very arbritrary and open to changes on a whim) - sorry all you Pats fans, its just the truth - so who knows what he'd do.
Although I guess I shouldn't mock too loudly, I do root for a team that can't seem to grasp the concept of getting a decent quarterback - Go Bears!!

I don't see how he could miss the Superbowl, but can you imagine how distracted he'd be trying to concentrate on doing his thing knowing his wife was in labor.
Jen, I want to see pictures too. I have picture of a tiny ten day old Beckett from from his first Patriots Super Bowl that are adorable (even if the outcome of that game isn't something we like to talk about in our house).

He would play I'm sure. Didn't they have a home birth for their first? Maybe they could travel with the midwife and she could just have the baby in the hotel.
I definitely think he would play. He couldn't miss a Superbowl game. Go Pats!
H really wants to go to the game on Friday, but I am not up for it. It's only a pre-season game and will be so freaking hot and muggy. Being close to 37 weeks on Friday, I don't relish the idea of sitting out at a football game. He is trying to find someone to go with so he doesn't have to go by himself. I feel like a terrible wife!
H thinks baby will be coming home in a Pats onesie, but I don't know if that will happen. The only Pats gear we have received thus far is size 3 months. I think it will be too big for baby to be in. H is so excited about football. I am going to be a football widow with a new baby as we no longer have the Sunday ticket and instead usually go up to Boston's to hang with the local Pats club. Lots of fun, but with a new baby I will have to miss some of it this year. H can certainly go and enjoy himself though. It's a nice group of people for any of you Pats fans who want to check it out!

I am 100% that Tom Brady will be at the Super Bowl.

I don't think I took a picture. I'll look through my phone, maybe I did.
