How long after taking a cough med can i BF?

I woke up this morning with the mother of all cough & colds. Maybe the flu as I have the shivers and am running a fever.

I sent DS off to my inlaws with frozen breastmilk I already had.

I have taken neocitran 2x today and am about to take it again.

Ingredients:
Analgesic: Acetaminophen (extra strength) 650 mg
Decongestant: Phenylephrine hydrochloride 10 mg
Antihistamine: Pheniramine maleate 20mg

today I pumped and dumped. What I want to know is how long can I safely resume breastfeeding after taking it? I cannot, for the life of me find that information and of course everything is closed till tomorrow am.

It seems as if the antihistamine in it isn't compatible with BFing. I'm fine pumping and dumping. But how long until after I have taken it before I CAN breastfeed again?

It says you can take it every 4-6 hours, so I'm kinda assuming the majority of the drug is out of your system within 6 hours. I think I will wait 12 hours after I last take it.

Of course, by then the pharmacist will be open to ask. This just means DH has to give DS freezer milk for his 4am feeding.

I'm trying to avoid man-handling the baby until I start to get a bit better, but I also read that now is a good time to be bfing him as he will develop antibodies to whatever virus I have.
