It's been months so I thought I'd pop in and say hi again in case anyone still stops in here. Where did everyone go to?
Anyway, Eleanor is almost 2. She's so chatty and loves to sing and talk all the time. We just weaned a few weeks ago (made it 22 months!). She's really a great easy going kid. I feel so lucky with her.
Also she's going to be a big sister!!! I'm due early February. We are going team green this time (H isn't thrilled with it, but whatever; I wanted to last time and he didn't so I'm getting my way this time, lol)
He's so much better. He had the colon removed in December, and then a second surgery in March to make a j-pouch with his intestine and then a third in May to hook everything back up and take down the bag.
After the first he spent another week and a half in the hospital, needing a blood transfusion, dealing with blood sugar issues (and having to monitor it and take insulin for a few months) because the pancreas was also slightly damaged from inflammation.
The second surgery he only spent a few days afterwards and the same with the third. The recovery was so different. I cried after the first because he looked so bad but by the third I was so relieved he was much better.
He's been back to work full time since a few weeks after the final surgery, can eat pretty much whatever and gained weight back (he'd lost 45lbs).
He still has so issues-mostly involving needing to use the bathroom often but generally he's okay.
It's so nice to be back to 'normal' and have help with Eleanor again.
