Baby Isla was born around 8am yesterday morning! She is 7lb4oz with a bunch of dark hair and a killer side eye. Baby and mama are doing spectacular.
First dose of cytotec was given at 9 pm Monday and was in active labor by 1am Tuesday. Started pushing at 5 am and she wasn't out til almost 8.
Because of the timing of all this I haven't really slept since Sunday night. H got some sleep last night but she was up cluster feeding from like 11 to 3. so we're both exhausted and this is a baby friendly teaching hospital which is the perfect storm for never sleeping ever.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
Baby toes!!! Smooshy face! OMG, I love her. Congrats, ebeth. She's as beautiful as her mama. Enjoy your new family. I'm so happy for you. I hope you get a long nap soon!
Congratulations, she's gorgeous!! I hope they let you get some sleep - ask the nurses to maybe clear a few consecutive hours so you are not disturbed, the constant poking and prodding and checking is awful.
