I texted in to the radio station this morning asking for an early bday shout out (the morning show is not on the air over the weekend) and not only did they do that AND sing to me, but they also gave me tickets to see Counting Crows next week! Now I just need to find someone to go with and a sitter for DDs.

I got a new dream job with the state. I gave notice to my boss on Tuesday! She has yet to tell our president or anyone. Which I'm ok with since I don't want to deal with the drama and backlash from everyone. My department will be two people short since I'm leaving. Start the new job September 9th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm happy for this week to be over. bl and another friend are coming over for dinner tomorrow to celebrate bl's birthday. I'm making MY favorite meal (lol) and chocolate fondue.

Sunday I am hoping for just a relaxing day.

I didn't get a chance to update yesterday, but the concert went SO well, I had a great time and very minimal anxiety. I will absolutely do it again.

Went and saw and early screening of The Visit last night with pantsoffdanceoff and it was pretty good, definitely a bit creepy to me.

Tonight the bar at my apartment complex is doing a free wine and paint night, so I rsvpd for that. Bike ride tomorrow morning, lunch date and then girls night. I have been out late every night this week, so on Sunday I am going to lay around my couch or the pool and read or sleep and I cannot wait.

Oh, and thanks to jigsy I bought Modern Romance for my kindle last night. I'm thinking that will be my Sunday reading.

pantsoffdanceoff and bl did The Visit have a good twist or was it just like a scary movie? I love a good mystery/twist, but in generally not os much for just creepy poseesion/supernatura stuff.

I'm so ready for it to be Friday. It's been an overload of a week. So I'm going to clean and then sit in my clean house and watch TV and decompress. Tomorrow I'm going to go to hang out with my dad which is always super chill and fun. It will be good for me.

Happy Friday!

So I'm a bit incensed. This morning on my way to work downtown an old man in a Toyota Tundra hit me. There was no damage and there are like 12 lights in a row downtown but I got out of my car to inspect and luckily there was no damage but really, the guy didn't even get off his cell or apologize. He did roll down the window but still. Smh.

I'm excited for the weekend as I'm going out with my girls. The hurricane might come on Monday and I won't have to work that day.

@pdx18 yes there is a bit of a twist and not just possession type movie. I am not a fan of those at all. Also, sorry to read about your friend in the other post. I hate how friendships have to change and evolve and sometimes break up, but I try to believe everything happens for a reason.

Got paper from H's lawyer yesterday............. I was expecting them but a heads up would have be nice from my lawyer. She answer the complaint without talking to me which kinda freaked me out. I have not had a good week...... I am ready for it to be over.

Haha it's not about the country, more just about the exhaustion and the fact that I will be traveling internationally just a week and a half later. Lol.

Quakes game tonight vs LA (FUCK LA!) and I'm irritated. Last week I discussed with BF that I wanted to buy his ticket as a birthday present (his bday is next Fri). He agreed. Today, I texted him and asked if he was on-call because a friend was asking about tailgating. No response. An hour later, he posts on the FB page for our supporters' group (where the friend was asking about tailgating) that he might not go to the game because he's on call.

WHAT THE FUCK.

No reply to me directly, just a post to FB? So I texted him to remind him that I already paid for his ticket, as part of his bday present. That was almost 2 hours ago and I still haven't gotten a response. I am assuming he's working so I'm trying not to freak out about his silence, but I'm furious that he posted on FB before texting me directly.

I had a long meeting this morning that pretty much confirmed my suspicions that no one reads the emails I send. I had a guy say several time "Oh, we need something like this" - and all I can say is "Like the one I sent 2 weeks ago? Is that not what you are looking for" to be met with deer in the headlights blank stares.
