We're kid free this weekend!!! My mom came last night and took G back to my parents' house for the weekend. We'll drive up there and pick him up on Sunday afternoon.

I haven't even read the book yet but I just cleaned through all of my gift wrapping supplies. It FELT SO GOOD. Now I will be on a tear through my house - nothing is safe!!
I'm sitting outside while the kids play in the water. K is hogging the wading pool and splashing so much that X really doesn't want to be in there with her for more than 15 seconds.
We are having a family night tonight and I am really looking forward to it. This week DH has had two late meetings and one trip out of town for work, we had back to school night, I watched a friend's 5 kids earlier in the week, I've had a meeting and a million phone calls for some church stuff, a birthday party on Monday evening, and we have been running around so much that my family has not seen much of one another.
Tonight we are staying in and watching "Home" while we bake cookies. The kids will have pizza for dinner and DH is picking up Chipotle on his way home. Life is good. #Chipotleblessed
I put in my notice at work today! So happy, I really hate this place. I will be starting school on September 8! Taking a part time bar tending job while in school, lol. I really hope I get into the program this year, and don't have to wait another year.
I realized earlier this week that I bought the new Stephen King book back in June but haven't read it. Thanks to page for reviewing it on goodreads and reminding me. Now I just have to remember which box I packed my kindle in. Or read it on the app I guess.
My kids had their 18m appointment yesterday. I have been looking at fall clothes so randomly decided to look at the size charts. Yeah, Carters thinks both of my 18 month olds should be wearing 12 months. No wonder the 24 month clothes look so huge. My kids are peanuts.
Today is the 2nd day this week that I couldn't go into work because J2 is sick. Her fever went up last night so I asked my CW/former work bff to cover me today. She agreed, but is now being totally snatchy about the circumstances. Let's just say I had to respond to her text BRIGHTLY.
I've had it with her. I hope she gets transferred.

I should be productive during V's nap time, but eh.
I did figure out that the Ethernet port or cable connecting the router and the switch is busted, so that's a call to an electrician and a few hundred bucks. If we're lucky. Ugh.
DH works until 2pm on Fridays. I took a nap and then went to the store solo (so 3 hours total). Dd has been on my nerves today...I haven't been away from her in 1 week (SAHM) and needed some "me" time. DH thought I was being a bit dramatic, well DD was being difficult tonight. DH comments how he can't wait until his business trip in 2 weeks...yeah you are telling me. He was only around for 30 minutes of her difficult behavior and he thought I was being dramatic. :-P. He has no idea!
At the end of the month I am going to visit a friend who is in Amsterdam for a meeting. DH will be alone with DD for an extended period of time for the first time, I think he will change his tune after that weekend :-). I will also be gone for 4 nights, I haven't ever been away over night since DD was born 2y9m ago...I am soooooooo excited!

I am a full on fan. Have you read the dark tower series? Or Insomnia?
I didn't love the first Dark Tower book so I haven't read others.
No on Insomnia.
I have read the Bill Hodges books obv, The Stand, The Green Mile, 11/22/63, Under the Dome, On Writing... I think that's it. I will not touch horror, full stop.
Also, unrelated but I am lol at @this and her review of Allegiant. @vicmo and I told you so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. I did just learn the hard way to never tell DS that I am taking a plane trip alone again! We live 5 minutes from the airport cargo area, so we see planes parked a lot and DS loves them.
I got 15 minutes of: You going on a plane? I'm not coming too? Is it a helicopter? Will you blast off? Do they have toys there?

Wow, when did my girls get bigger than yours? Mine are still rather skinny but they are at least 31 inches at this point so wearing 18mo. I've been buying 18 month pants and 24mo shirts for the fall/winter.
