1. Teething out of order...normal? DS has his lower left central incisor. I've thought for the past few days the right one was about to pop through because it looks puffy. Then yesterday evening I noticed the tooth to the left is starting to pop up. At least I'm pretty sure it is. So it would be the lower left lateral incisor. (I had to look up teeth names for this post!) If it really is coming up, he's going to look pretty silly and off-center.
2. When does a baby pull itself up to sitting position? DS is sitting up really well for a few minutes at a time. But he can't pull himself from lay to sit yet.
3. What's that website about feeding baby solids that everyone recommends? I can't find the link. Wholesome something?
1. Not sure about out of order, but C's bottom two teeth look slightly off center (but not by the entire width of one tooth), so maybe his are just off?
2. C has delays, but wasn't getting himself to a seated position until several months after he could sit unassisted (if we put him there).

What is a realistic expectation for sleep for a 14 week old? I is sleeping like, 10 - 2, and then 2:30-4 or maybe 5. Then up to eat and maybe another nap, but just as likely not.
1. DS got his first 8 teeth pretty fast. I think he got them pretty much in order. I know he got the first 4 in order. However, he is currently getting his molars and canines and I think they are coming in slightly out of order.
2. My DS could sit unassited by 6 months but he did not get himself from a laying down to a sitting up position until the day he started crawling at 9 months.
Sudafed is safe while pregnant, yes? I vaguely remember taking it with DD and the Internet isn't giving me good results. One said regular sudafed is okay but sudafed PE isn't? And also that mucinex is okay? Being sick while pregnant is not fun.

I had bronchitis at 20 weeks and they said I could take the regular 6 hour sudafed. I could also take rubitussin.

lessel, teething out of order is totally normal. L just got his fourth tooth on the bottom, months after his molars!
L could sit pretty well at 6.5 months but couldn't get himself in a seated position until about a month later.
I have boobs questions. When did your boobs stop leaking after weaning? I didn't leak at all the first week or so but the last 3 days I've been leaking a bit. I don't feel engorged at all but every once and awhile I'll have a little spot on my shirt. I haven't leaked since like 7 months post partum. WTH, body?
When did you reincorporate boobs into sex? Last night H tried and I had the same skin crawly feeling from when I was still nursing. Still very much a no go zone.

Excellent, thank you! I love how I get sick right as their office closes for the weekend.
You've been put through the wringer with this baby! Bronchitis, shingles- you poor thing!!

Normal?
I'm so tired.
Normal BUT light at the end of the tunnel . Once DS started the 10-2 stretch it got longer and longer until he was STTN. Anecdotes.
Why does my baby make a clicking sound when she nurses and how do I stop it? Her latch seems okay and when I break the latch to try again it does the same thing. I'm not in any pain but milk is always spilling out of her mouth.

So you're getting a 4 hour stretch, a very short wakeup, then another 2-3 hours? That sounds outstanding for a 3 month old. Hopefully over time the second stretch will lengthen to 4-5 hours, so he'll sleep 10-6 with one wakeup. But it sounds like you've got a pretty good sleeper. Lots of babies are up every 2 hours all night long at that age.

I never leaked after stopping since I had no milk left and was pregnant already so no advice.
My boobs have been a no go zone for almost 3 years since pregnant with DS. DH asks all the time but I feel so grossed out when he touches them. I don't even take my bra off during sex.

DD does this too. I figured out that if I palm the back of her head like a basketball it stops. I think the clicking is her creating and releasing the latch rapidly with her tongue. If I hold her head closer to my breast by palming the back of her head, her latch stays intact.
DD was 4 mos, but DS is 4 mos now and doesn't roll. He rarely even rolls to his side. FWIW he's really laid back, and he's big (18 lbs). Will it take him longer bc he's bigger (so he has to be stronger?)?

C rolled like two or three times around 4-5 months, then not again until about 9-10. Like I said before, he has some delays, but I've heard it's common to roll a few times, then not again for a little while. A lot of doctors don't consider rolling to be a milestone.

DS just started getting himself to sitting around 8.5 months. But he could sit on his own starting around 5 months.

spankswife E rolled for the first time just before 4 months I think it was? Then the other way just before 5 months. He still doesn't sit on his own very well although he tries very hard to sit up!
VillainV when did he sit? Is rolling related to sitting in terms of early/late?
Do bigger babies sit later?
Colin was sitting around 6 months. We worked with him a lot on it. We gave him small toys to put between his legs and prop himself up (C loved the Little Tikes Play Triangle). He went from not even close to sitting to sitting completely unassisted in about 2 weeks. This is also pretty much the only milestone he met on time. He wasn't getting himself from laying to sitting until 12 months. We worked with him a lot on transitions from laying to sitting starting at about 10 months (which is when he started physical therapy), and it took him a while to build the core strength up.
C was a big baby when he was little (mid 90th percentile), but has settled to about average in both length and weight. He does have a REALLY long torso, short legs, and a HUGE HEAD, so his overall center of gravity is ridiculously high. In my opinion, this has probably resulted in him meeting milestones a little bit later. He also does have a gross motor delay (with no diagnosed cause, i.e. no hyper/hypotonia), so it's hard for me to tell how much is because he's big and how much is due to the delay.
When did your toddler start to understand, "Yes, we're going to go down *this fun thing* but first we have to do *this not so fun thing*?
Signed, Frustrated mom of a 16 month old who is running around in just a wet diaper even though I'm trying to get him ready for the park!
Yeah, C can kind of understand doing one thing first, then doing another. (ex: if we say "Go get your book and bring it back to me" he will do it.) He DOES seem to understand if we say "let's go for a walk" or "we're getting ready to leave." But I don't think he has the processing power to understand "finish your peas and then we'll go to the playground."
