I don't know what's going on with DD. Growth spurt, teething, baby craziness. I can't figure it out. Her sleep has steadily been getting worse. She used to STTN 11-8. Then it was 11-6. Then it was 11-6 with a wakeup to eat around 3. Now it's 11-3 and 3:30-5:30 Still not "bad" by baby standards, but a heck of a lot worse than it used to be. And she's only catnapping during the day. I think she napped a grand total of 90 minutes yesterday, in 3 tiny naps. And she's grumpy. I hope she returns to her normal self soon!
FML. DD woke up saying she doesn't feel well and today is our new nanny's first day. Is it too much to ask to have an entire day to work undisturbed?
DH is trying to assess how serious DD's complaint is. No fever. I think she might just be dehydrated. I'd like to pump her full of water and send her off to school in 45 minutes.
I feel a bit guilty, but I'm going to try to get a sitter so I can go to my meetup groups mom night out later this month as DH is working that night. I'm looking forward to some kid-free adult company and drinks.
DS1 loves minions and I don't know how. He's never seen DM, the shorts or commercials with them but he gets so excited every time we see a display in a store.
Normally I would love a super rainy day but it would a) flood the quickest route to the birth center b) make it take longer for DH to get home/meet me there. To keep my spirits up I'm going to enjoy the rain and tell myself it's NOT baby day despite yesterday issues and last nights pains.
I think we may have to re-ST DD. She's gone from STTN to waking up one to two times a night. With teething, sickness, etc., I've been nursing her back to sleep, but I think it's starting to just become a habit.
I laugh a little less and feel a little less crazy when I remember 2 weeks of modified bed rest for pre term labor/3cm/50% effaced and now 1.5 weeks at 5cm/90% effaced/station 0.
I was walking up to the stop when the driver shut the door. I waved him down but he shook his head that he couldn't let me on. The schedule clearly says it leaves at 6:55 but I was there at 6:50. Not I have to wait half an hour.

Rage! I would make a phone call when the office opens.

E thinks they're bananas. He starts yelling for a banana whenever we see them.

The one at the restaurant at Redstone? I saw that invite yesterday. I want to see if I can make it.

Yes!!! Please come with me
Ok, let me see what I can do. H's schedule is not good lately and he keeps coming home late but maybe if I give him enough notice he can work with it. Pay back for all the nights I do bedtime alone!

T likes helping put away the groceries and lately I've been buying those chocolate jello puddings from the refrigerated section. Every time she picks them up she yells "Mommy's prunes!!"
My company increased paid ML by two weeks effective yesterday. I was so happy I cried at my desk.
Is it 14w now? I thought it was already at 12?
They paid for 10 and now its 12 paid. They also increased paternity to 6 weeks paid. I had hoarded PTO so I could take 13 weeks and now I have two weeks extra PTO I can use!
As if that's not enough to deal with today, we have Montessori orientation (which he has to miss, of course), I have a 3 hour conference call from 2-5, and then we have his "leaving daycare" party at 5.
My girls have been taking off their pajamas and diapers overnight. I thought I was so smart by buying them a few pairs of one piece jammies, but nope they figured it out.
I suppose I could put them on backwards, but they would probably just unzip each other.
I caved last night and put baby girl in the RNP to sleep. I wanted to avoid it so we didn't have to deal with a transition later, but she slept so much better as I guessed she would!
Then I went on an hour long hunt for old threads about transitioning from the RNP before nearly slapping myself for worrying so much about it with my 3 DAY OLD!! Even with the madness, I got the longest stretch of sleep yet .
