Small- leave work and go to get a soda from the gas station; if I'm at home, go for a walk Bigger- go out with friends, go get a new piece of clothing/accessory

Drink, get out for coffee, go for a walk or run, get a haircut (definitely need to do this soon!), catch up with friends and/or family...basically anything that doesn't involve my normal day to day SAHM routine and gives me some "me time" (which I literally never get these days).

Shopping for sure! I also get really excited to get my hair cut/colored. When I have an appointment, I count down for the day to arrive. Something about being in the salon is relaxing!
I work out and/or eat something like chocolate cake or chocolate ice cream. In the long run it helps if I do both of these instead of skipping the workout, but sometimes I go straight for the ice cream after a hard day (or night).
I mow the lawn too. Everyone leaves me the hell alone and it's refreshing!
Also, buy random stuff on Amazon. Usually to keep the kids occupied. It's also a pickmeup when two days later the package man appears with it.
I put the kids in the stroller and run back to the lake. Let them play around a bit and go home.
I also rearrange furniture/clean closets.
Sometimes I stay up super late, drink a beer, take a long shower, do my nails and wash trash TV or read a book. I'm tired the next day but the downtime when everyone else is asleep is so worth it.
Get a Starbucks if I want something hot, or DD if I want an iced coffee, and wander around Homegoods and Nordstrom Rack. Luckily for me these stores are beside one another.
Tonight I am playing trivia and I can not wait. We haven't played in a month. It is so nice to have a couple of hours to myself and not worry about another soul. There is not much kid talk and I get to feel like myself, not a mom.
