Someone posted the picture of the little boy. I was semi prepared because I had heard about it, but someone else just posted pictures of six different kids. I do not know if they are real since I hadn't read about them, but I really wish I hadn't seen that. Those poor babies
Eta : I can't bring myself to click on the article about the other pictures.
I had to cover my computer screen with my hand while I scrolled through one post. Two people have posted a picture of a worker carrying the boy and those were heartbreaking but one person posted a series of pictures that about did me in. The pictures progressively got closer up on the little boy and I was almost sick and those are the ones I had to cover. I can't even imagine being on either side of that ordeal.
I can't do this. I can stomach a lot of the awful things we humans do to each other and our world, but not kids in this situation. I was scrolling through FB just now and saw them. I'm crying and am not generally a crier.
Eta - I ended up clicking on the comments of the article npr posted to make the picture get off my screen and saw this - "Even the sea felt ashamed to swallow this angel. He brought him back as he is, in clothes and shoes."
I saw them late last night and couldn't sleep. I know the pictures are important to illustrate the human suffering going on, but I cannot look at them.
No one has posted those specific pictures on my FB feed (though I think at least one person posted ), but I saw it through twitter. The whole situation is so awful.
