I overcame the extreme desire to nap last night and went out to see a band. And with my friend who knows them pretty well so we finished the evening hanging with the band by the waterfront. Great way to kick off a long weekend!
What's making you happy this morning? Any awesome plans for the Labor Day weekend?
I found out our office is closing at 3pm today! I can't wait!
I think we have no plans this weekend, which is nice. We've had a very busy summer and my husband's fall semester of grad school just started so this weekend will be our little "eye of the storm."
I don't know what the heck Pandora station we're playing at work but it just went from Frank Sinatra, to The Lion King, to Lorde.
Yay for Friday! I have a big client call this morning and multiple deliverables to get out before EOD. But then a three day weekend with only plans on Monday!
My H is flying down for the weekend! We've been living apart for 2 weeks now and I really miss him. Plus it's his birthday tomorrow. We're driving up to our favorite orchard tomorrow (probably for the last time) to spend the day. And then we're going to a wedding celebration on Sunday.

I am super excited for the weekend! Lots of catch up work at home. Cleaning for guests next weekend, organizing the office with a new desk, end of summer yard work, finishing up a painting for a wedding gift and starting to clean out our living room/dining room for new floors at the end of the month.
We went to see a local ballgame yesterday. It was so much fun, and holy crap can you get amazing seats for cheap. Including parking and ticket fees, DH and I got into the game for $31, total, and we were in the most expensive seats you can buy individually at the park. We were just a few feet off of straight behind home plate, (enough so we could see the pitcher around the ump) and at grass level. The only thing between us and the warning track was a few inches of concrete and a giant net to catch wild pitches and wacky foul balls.
Today, we head to Chicago so we can go see Vikings! tomorrow. (not a team, a museum exhibit) And then we're meeting up with some friends of friends for gaming. We're still not sure what we'll be doing on Sunday, but maybe another museum...
Dropped wyatt of at boarding for 4 nights. It will be the longest time we've left him work somebody other than the IL's. He was SO excited though, he didn't even say goodbye!
Royal watchers: Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel have confirmed that they're expecting baby #2 in March. (heart)
In British news, the president of China will be making a state visit next month. William and Kate are rumored to be attending - if they go to the fancy banquet during the visit, Kate will likely be in a tiara. And it will also be the first chance to see if the Queen has given her the prestigious Royal Family Order, since there's never a public announcement when a royal lady receives it. It's a personal token from the Queen if she really likes you. (For reference: Diana, Princess of Wales received one; Sarah, Duchess of York [aka Fergie] never did.)

I've been working on cleaning and listing stuff for sale on various yard sale Facebook pages today. I need to go grocery shopping but I also need to do an exchange at the grocery story so I'm procrastinating.
I'm going running tonight with some friends. DH is flying home for the weekend tomorrow morning and we are pretty busy all weekend.
Can I just ask for good vibes, thoughts and prayers if you pray? I just learned of bad situations for two of my closest friends. One's mother has leukemia and the doctor thinks she may have 10 months to live. The other's nephew had a horrible asthma attack, his heart has stopped twice and they are working on him now. This is even harder because his mother died unexpectedly a couple years ago. It would just too much for her BIL and her niece to bear. No need to respond, just please send them out. Thank you.
