So I'm finally teaching chemistry full time (no more freshman!!!). While I'm super excited, it's a ton of work since I very few curriculum materials and I'm building a lot from scratch.
Anyway, I've been testing out all the labs before I do them with the kids so I can make sure I know what I'm doing. So on my prep today I tested out a lab where they have to heat up a piece of glass and then stretch it to make the tool they need. Like an idiot, I managed to touch the hot glass not once, but twice. Luckily, the burn isn't too bad and now I can give extra safety warnings. Lol.
LOL, that would totally be me. I took a blacksmithing class and was warned several times not to touch the hot metal. Guess who was the only one in class to touch the hot metal...
