I hate to laugh, but... I can't help it. You know this is purely because she saw people do this on Memorial Day. So DUH, it's the same thing for Labor Day!

For once it really, truly is about a 3 day weekend. A day non cats are allowed to lie on a sunny spot on the floor to experience how awesome being a cat is.
Are those coffins of people killed in a mining accident?
Feel free. I was also thinking about taking the same meme and using a picture of a worker who has clearly just walked out of a coal mine or steel plant but I'm too lazy.
Am I the only one who finds Labor Day sales utterly repulsive, as some of the hardest workers have to come in and work harder on the day that's supposed to celebrate them?

No, you're not. H and I make a conscious effort to avoid shopping on Labor Day. It troubles me that it's largely become a white collar holiday. We are hitting the bookstore and the grocery store today. I went to the gym today and will just go for a walk tomorrow. I don't think we place enough value on true holidays - on not DOING things - in this country. I know I struggle with stillness and rest, but ultimately it's good for me.

It popped up in my feed, but it says "Friend liked this post from May" - so Memorial Day. I think that happens when things are trending or something? I don't understand FB.
