Measuring right on track, betas doubling right on schedule, and a beautiful flickering heartbeat! I get to go back in 2 weeks just because
Yes!!!
I bet you relax for a week and then start getting anxious again a week before the next appointment. That seems to be how it works for most of us. But that post-appointment relief is the best!

I think I get to enjoy this for like a day before I go back to worrying. The joys of pregnancy ;-)
My ultrasound/BPP turned into an NST today. Baby wouldn't cooperate for the tech to get all the info she needed for the BPP. I swear this child gets more stubborn with each ultrasound I get. But he passed the NST just fine and kicked away the whole time. He's still head down (yay!) and looking good!
The midwife went over what to watch for with regards to Braxton hicks/preterm labor, just in case I start having them while we travel this weekend. She said flying/traveling/stress could start them, even though I haven't had any yet. While I get the precaution, I wasn't thinking about preterm labor starting mid redeye flight before that. And then H decided it was a good idea to ask what citizenship the baby would get if I went into labor over the Atlantic Ocean. Thanks H, wasn't thinking about that either before today! LOL
The big move is this weekend, G22? Eek! Good luck!
Yes! I won't actually be in Germany until Tues/Wed but we are starting our way there this weekend. My H graduated from training today, so there's nothing left to do but drive to the airport and start flying. Yikes!
G22, haha there's no reason to worry about the citizenship question anyway. Very few countries award citizenship based on birth (Canada and the US are pretty much the only ones in the developed world who still do this), most require you to have a parent who is a citizen or at least a permanent resident. I know because when I was pregnant with V, I got all excited thinking she'd be a British citizen, but neither H nor I have permanent resident status here, so she'd have been American and Canadian because of us but that's it. Not sure how it will work on the base where you'll live in Germany. Is it considered US sovereign territory, or will you have to register him at the US consulate nearby?
That's so exciting G22!!! Is the weather okay for the dogs to fly??
Fx and praying it is! I actually moved my flight up by a day to try and beat the heat. Its going to be borderline since I have an afternoon flight so we won't know til we show up at the airport. If we can't get out on the planned flight, I'll reschedule for the next day on an earlier flight.
I was trying to keep this current flight though because its nonstop, so much easier on pregnant me and the pets. If I change it, we'll have a layover and double our traveling time. The nonstop is much more ideal if the weather cooperates

True. I'm sure if I go into labor over the ocean, citizenship will be the least of my worries at that point in time
I truly have no idea, since I will deliver at a German hospital. Our base doesn't have OB services. I think we'll have to apply for a passport, SSN, and birth certificate ect at the consulate, but I'm still a bit fuzzy on that. That wasn't at the top of my list lately, but once I get over to Germany it will be

Lots of T&P the weather is okay and you and the dogs make the direct flight!! Hoping you have a safe and uneventful trip and welcome to Germany!! Update us on how you're doing as soon as you can!
It was supposed to be today, but as I was afraid of the Texas heat made it so we couldn't fly out with the pets. So we are currently scrambling to find a new flight in the next 24 hours. The airline we were flying with had zero new flights that would work So my H is trying to book new flights through a different airline right now. Any spare prayers that you guys have that something will work would be awesome!
I just want to cry right now. I didn't think it would be THIS hard to rebook. We have no car, no house, I'm sitting in the airport with 4 pets and 6 suitcases just praying something works out. I knew it was going to be a long stressful day, but we've hit bumps we weren't anticipating.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
Thanks guys. We gave up at the airport for the day. Dallas is such a damn big airport and we just needed to get out of there since we weren't getting anywhere. Getting a hotel room for the night and trying to call around. We may be able to get a flight with another airline but not until Wed/Thurs.
Ugh. I knew it would be stressful, just wasn't sure exactly how. I'm just glad my H got stranded here as well, since we were originally supposed to be on separate flights. I'd be a mess by myself right now. Besides, now we may just be able to fly together now once we finally book a new flight, so there's a positive in here somewhere right?
I'm so glad you're not dealing with this alone, G22. I'm sorry it's been such a hassle.
OMG me too! Thank goodness we both got stranded here. As stressed as I was today, H definitely took the brunt of it trying to figure out what to do everything time a plan failed. I was just coming to update you all.
The pros: We are rebooked on another flight, H and I together this time. Its a direct flight. We got the pets booked on a separate direct flight that will get in within hours of us. This hotel bed feels like heaven. And I finally got food.
The cons: We don't leave til Thursday now. We just shelled out $$$$ for these tickets we weren't planning to spend. We have to drive 4 hours away to another airport to catch this flight. We have a shit ton of stuff to do in the next few days before leaving since we'll be flying separately from the pets now. I'm still afraid the other shoe is going to drop and for some reason these plans won't work out.
But for now, I will sleep. Because I slept like crap last night and today was exhausting. Thanks for thinking of us. We'll try this again in a few days and maybe, just maybe, we'll actually get out of here
