I just went off on one of my coworkers, which I never do (until today ). OMG, for the past several months everything that comes out of her mouth is so negative; this is a dumb way of doing things, our systems sucks, this makes no sense, this person sucks, that person has no business in that position, blah, blah, blah. When in reality things aren't as bad as she's making them out to be, but I swear she thrives on the negativity. I have a shitload of things to deal with today and she felt the need to tell me how to do my job (thanks for the concern and wise words regarding something you know zero about, but... NOT HELPING!). I kind of lost it on her (not my proudest moment) in the middle of the aisle, and what a relief to finally let it out.
She's been hiding from me ever since. Maybe that will result in my IM remaining somewhat inactive. I should copy some of the crazy shit she sends to me. It's unbelievable sometimes.

One of my employees is like that. She can always find something to complain about. But I've hired two new people, so hopefully they'll balance out the negativity.
Vent/complaint: Previously mentioned negative employee is out on vacation this week. I knew she'd be out and that I would have to do her job, but I started a new person this week anyway. Then I found out that my student worker couldn't work for me anymore because she had to withdraw from classes. SO I'm doing the job of 3 people and trying to train somebody on a completely different job. I'm exhausted!
Hopefully that straightens her out, or at the very least she stops whining. Negativity is really exhausting.
My vent: my manager is stressing out about everybody starting to work from home, so she is starting to micro manage every little thing. It's driving everyone insane. We are adults, we know what we are doing! Calm down.

One of the clients I've had to deal with lately is such a pompous ass but also doesn't know what he's talking about a lot of the time. I've started to refer to him (behind the scenes) as "Mr. DK" in reference to the Dunning-Kruger effect.

I like that! It definitely applies to a lot of my coworkers.
I have a big event next week and one of the participants is SUCH a diva. I had never heard of her before we hired her and she's acting like she's effing Beyonce. I am annoyed.
