Project Runway - It needs to be said, Merline should NOT have won! Her design was horrible, that bra couldn't even hold her models non-existent boobs and her panties were ugly too. Ashley, Lindsey, even Jake's plain design would have been a better choice. I felt soooo bad for Blake's model, her poor boobs were just flopping in the wind and they had to blur out her nipples, her panties looked so uncomfortable.
PS, I never want to hear the word Panties again, lol
Food Truck - I need Waffle Love to go home, they are stepping on my last nerve. I'll miss Postcards, but I'm glad it was Pho and not them that moved on.
The people lining up for the trucks are assholes, really you're like 50 people deep and you're going to complain that they didn't have what you wanted. You know that this is for a tv show, you want food get in line the night before, lol.

Agreed re: Project Runway. Ashley's underwear was so damn cute. I don't understand the rewarding of mediocre ideas (Blake, Merlene) when other people have executed well made garments that fit the challenge and and are wearable.
Also, why are the designers not going to Mood at all this season? I think they've been once? And they're not going next week either. I will never stop watching this show, but I really hate how they're pigeonholing everyone's oht these uber-specific challenges and not letting people work with fabrics of their choice to make garments of their choice. That's why I think Swapnil hasn't won anything yet. I want to see him do a whole collection of his own inspiration. I bet it will be amazing.
They criticize so much for poorly made clothing. THAT is why I don't get why Merline won. Swapnil kind of knew he wouldn't win - he felt his couldn't be mass reproduced. I thought of those 3, Ashley would win.
But there were "safe" looks that I thought were better!! I loved Kelly's and was surprised that she was safe.

Again- I don't understand the judges!!
Don't disagree with the bottom at all.
YES! In fact, when Kelly's girl ended the runway show, I was all---THAT'S EASY, SHE CLEARLY WON. Then, nope, not even in the top 3.
Marlene's didn't fit with the other items in Heidi's collection, so I would have been surprised for that to win even if it was well executed. Do you think they just don't want to give Ashley too many wins?
PS - I loved when they called Edmond's tacky, lol.

Maybe that was the point? They thought they could add in an edgy/sporty vibe? Maybe do a few more in that vein?
IDK, if that were the case then they should have gone with Kelly's design.
I also loved Ashley's. And unlike most of them, it would look really good on most body types. I agree that Kelly should have been in the top. Swapnil's wasn't my favorite. I think I would have liked it more in a different color.
I thought it was fun seeing the men struggle so much. So much of women's fashion has been dictated by men, and it was interesting seeing them struggle so much with this challenge. Which is another reason why Marlene's win pissed me off. There are about 3 women that could wear that, and they are all supermodels. It makes no sense as a win for something that's to be adapted for the mass market, except for the fact that it's probably cheap to make.

That makes sense since Swapnil was also in the top and his design didn't really mesh with the current offerings as well.

I do think they purposely didn't choose Ashley. It's too easy if she wins week after week. Marline's will probably be reworked a bit for actual production. I could see the potential. As it was, no one with boobs bigger than walnuts could wear that. I did not get the love for swapnils. Even as a "specialty piece" it looked weird and complicated to me.
Blake's work was tragic. He's one of those designers who somehow made it on the show, and through several episodes, without actually knowing how to sew.

The Waffle Love guy has something wrong with the nerve is his eye and that's the way he always looks. I don't know if they didn't interview him much before (they all look the same, it's hard to tell the brothers apart) or what, but we also noticed it two weeks ago and looked it up. I think they might win. They have a universally appealing food item and can crank it out fast. Pho Nomenal is like the little engine that could. I'm glad they are still in it.
Tim calling himself Grandpa was adorable. I love Kelly. I really want her to make it to the end. I hate that they never give enough time to finish anything. It makes it less of a design competition. Blake is weird and I'm glad he's gone. Those poor boobs. All of the models seemed to be throwing their cover-ups back on as soon as possible. Jake or Joseph have to be next.

EVERY challenge is now a 1 day challenge. It's more about "what can I make in a day" vs "what do I want to make?". This seems to be a change since they went to Lifetime. And I'm sure it has to do w/ schedules - of the judges, production, etc. And I'm sure $$ too. But it's disappointing.
They really didn't change up the winning look much, did they? I could never wear that.

Agree with you about Ashley's designs. Unusual color combo and could be worn by more body types.
Merelene's design has a really limited target population. Heidi's not doing herself any favors by including it in her line. OTOH, maybe that's the point?
It seems to me that there is a LOT of really crappy workmanship this season....a lot more than previous seasons.
I agree that they're deliberately not letting Ashley win again. I hated Merline's look, but from looking at the rest of Heidi's line, it fits right in: geared toward small women.
