So, some of you might remember the saga with my credit card fraud several months back while I was on vacation in Hawaii (fraudulent charges were caught, couldn't use the card, couldn't get a new car shipped out to HI quickly).
Well, we eventually got that cleared up, but we got a notice this weekend that there were attempts at fraudulent charges on the new card! They're sending us another new card, and the old one has been cancelled. It's easier to deal with this time, since we're at home and have another card we can use now. Also, whatever algorithms they use for catching fraud are doing a good job, so that's great. Still, it's a pain and a reminder that people suck.
I wonder if this is plain old bad luck or if one of the places we've charged things has a particular vulnerability to hacking/skimming. We looked at our charges before each instance of fraud and didn't see anything that stood out.
