After 7 days, I have 7 measurable follicles, but a few are already so big they'll probably be overly matured at retrieval time. The nurse said it should be fine at my age, but I'm stressing. Omg. Give me suggestions of things to do to get my mind off of this.

I don't know if this will be helpful, but I only had 9 follies before retrieval, and they got seven eggs. I was slow to respond (had three follies after four days of stimming). Our round was successful, and I was advanced maternal age at the time we did IVF.
I'm really hopeful for you! I don't have any ideas on distractions that might work. It's a bit all consuming, isn't it?
You are young- I would imagine any follies you get will be very healthy and more likely to make it. I'm sorry- I was under this stress too when we got our first glimpse of the # we had, and I was stressed. We ended up getting much more than I thought we would. I will keep everything crossed for you!
As far as keeping your mind off things- What are your plans this weekend? If you had $200 what shoes would you buy right now?
Thinking of you Rak! My response was not stellar either (in the single digit) and I just focused on stories of ppl who had success with low numbers. It really just takes one. In the end I had 3 embryos and one became my 14 months old.

Thank you.
I'm going to a wine fest tomorrow, and hopefully a motorcycle ride on sunday, and then relaxing and watching football. I'm dying for some chili too.
I had six follicles at my monitoring appointments. They ended up getting ten eggs, but only the six were mature. Four fertilized with ICSI, only one made it to day 5. She's now 21 months. It only takes one.
I'm sorry Rak. If this helps at all, with the round I finally got pregnant with DS I stimmed for 16 days. Seemed like forever but we finally got there - and it worked that round. Antagonist protocol.
If I remember correctly I had some that were too big by the time we got to trigger and ER. I didn't have that many follies - less than 10 if I remember. Most didn't end up fertilizing. But the one did and he is going to be 6 next month.
Ditto dana2006. It's really hard not to think about #s but it only takes one. It's a stressful and emotional roller coaster so I don't want you to tell you not to think too much bc is impossible. Can you do something fun for yourself this week? A mani/pedi or go to the movies? I planned something small & fun to look forward to each day so it helped time go by quickly.
I stimmed for 8 days, had 9 eggs retrieved, 8 were mature, & 2 made it to 5 day blasts. 6 weeks pregnant with 1 right now. I was super nervous that I didn't have enough. FX for you!

Our first round we only got 3 follies and only 1 made it to transfer. Thankfully it worked and I have a happy, healthy 3 year old. It only takes 1. Good luck!
