After XH and I divorced, but I still had his name, I'd occasionally run into someone asking if I was related to so-and-so. I also got the awkward silence when I explained that it was actually my divorced name. I wonder if it was so awkward because I was so HAPPY to be divorced.

I kept my madian name when I married so no reason to change back

I didn't change mine back, I wanted to keep the same name as our son. I'm not sure what will happen if I get married again.

I did not change it when I divorced,but when I remarried, I changed my last name.
