Molly Sims apparently had guests "write letters to her son for different ages". Apparently he will have a letter to open on each birthday until he is 50+ years old. This was in order to "spare" her friends from horrible baby shower games.
Personally, I hate showers that have homework. I hate bringing a reciepe card to bridal showers, making onesies at baby showers, and I would be really mad if I had to write a letter to a middle aged man.
WDYT? What is worse? Suffering through games or homework?
That would be awkward because it's not like you can write your letter based on their life because it hasn't been lived yet. I would have no idea what to write.
I feel like a dude is definitely not going to appreciate the sentiment. I mean, I am imaging a 15 year old boy opening a letter from his mom's friend and being like, "wtf?"
What is with having to do activities at baby showers? There's the obligatory gift-opening, which seems to always kill a ton of time at the showers I've attended. Why isn't that + mingling w/other guests sufficient?

And how about being assigned any number greater then 21. What the heck do you write to a 37 year old man? Or 42? So weird and creepy.

I really loved receiving recipe cards at my bridal shower. But it was a family-only one. I would have been embarrassed if my friends were asked to fill them out.
homework is probably the worst then games... but also being asked to bring diapers instead of a card is beyond annoying... so instead of getting a $2 card to got with my giftt, i have to spend $10 on diapers? grrr....(sorry i just got an invitation with these instructions on it today and its got me miffed) -signed chick who does not have kids yet.
