So we went apple picking this weekend and split a bag of apples with a friend and then they left theirs aat our house. SO now I have a ton of apples. So I need good recipes. I have pinned a bunch but would rather something tried and true.
Thanks. The person I actually stole all the apples from was talking about making apple butter so I was thinking on doing that and then gifting some back to them. Do you put apple butter on anything else besides toast?

If you want an easy idea that doesn't require baking, my kids love apples cut into chunks, cooked until soft (I just microwave them with a little water), and tossed with cinnamon and sugar. I serve them with toast of waffles for breakfast.
Oh also baked apples are easy. I core them then fill hole with a mix of cinnamon, oatmeal, nuts and brown sugar and bake for 30-40 min I think. Yummy dessert.

Caramel apple cupcakes! Semi-homemade. I take a box mix of white cake, sub applesauce for the oil, apple juice or cider for the water. Chop apples really small, put them in the batter. Add some cinnamon to the batter. Bake as indicated on box. Make homemade buttercream and drizzle caramel over the top. Sometimes I make a caramel buttercream and still drizzle caramel on top. It's so good.
