So DD is 25 months and has been an infrequent pooper for a while. We try to give her lots of fruit, but it doesn't seem to work. She'll usually poops like 1-2 a week, which is crazy, I know. Sometimes they are so big, they clog up our toilet! Thankfully, they are not too hard, just very large. She struggles to get them out.
Her diet isn't too different from her brother's who is 5 and poops just fine. I thought we had made some progress after her pedi appointment since she was pooping every other day. We had been giving her plums every day. But it's Thursday and the last time she pooped was Saturday!
She doesn't like mango (crazy girl!). She seems to be wanting a lot of milk lately which isn't helping I'm sure, but I'm not sure what to do about that. She won't eat many veggies, but does like meat, which she eats for dinner every night.
Our pedi recommended trying to change her diet then if that didn't work, we should look into Mirolax to get her pooping regularly. I think we might be do this, but I figured I would ask here for some advice. Has anyone had this problem? If so, how did you fix it? How do you get a picky toddler to eat something to help them poop?

I would try apple juice or prune juice. Also maybe adding some flax seed oil to her meals when you can.
DD2 takes Miralax and it does help a lot. The pedi recommended this over prune juice because sometimes too much prunes can cause the cycle of pooping too much and then not pooping for days. We started off with 1/2 tsp or Miralax.

She doesn't really like prune juice. I haven't tried apple, but she's doesn't usually drink juice.
Do you just mix Miralax with milk or other liquid?

She is still on bottles. So I add it to her before bed bottle. I think you can add it to just about anything.
Do you serve whole grains? I think that makes a big difference in our home. I swear the weekends we do whole wheat bagels vs. bleached white, his system moves faster.

Usually, but she doesn't eat a lot carbs. But I will definitely look into this. Not sure about our DCP and what she eats there.

We had a nanny for the summer and our very regular DS got VERY backed up. She was reaching for far too many packs of PB crackers, waffles, and finished off our last remaining jar of baby puffs I had forgotten about. She didn't offer produce most days, even if I asked her to.
Definitely check with DC to see what she's eating.
DS is with my BFF the days I work, and he definitely eats things there he won't touch at home, and vice versa. Kids are weird!
Maybe she's secretly only eating goldfish or something.
I think Miralax is a good suggestion if you can't make an easy dietary fix.
We had really good luck adding daily pear or prune pouches into DD1's diet (pear pouches are easier to find). We basically substituted them for apple sauce. We've also convinced her that prunes are pretty much candy, so she gets them as a treat. They definitely help.

We have had this issue recently too and have been using miralax. I just give it in water because she doesn't like juice. Also pedi said to cut down on milk as it is constipating.

My daughter has been on miralax since she was about 10 months old, tried to wean her off around 14 months old and we ended up in the ER while we were on vacation out of state. She's been on it every since. We mix about 1/8-1/4 cap in about an ounce of juice every morning. We haven't read this book, but I've heard good things and have heard it explains a lot about constipation and why it should be avoided, especially in kids- www.amazon.com/Its-Accident-Breakthrough-Solutions-Constipation/dp/076277360X
