I've been enjoying dystopian YA. The main reason I don't read much YA is that teenagers, when portrayed realistically, are rather annoying to me. (I used to be a high school teacher: love the kids, but don't need their drama in my fiction.) In dystopian YA, the interpersonal drama is second to the weirdness of the world, which makes it easier to take.

I was actually thinking about this and I hope that YA readers will post too. My hope is that anyone that likes books will feel welcome to post here and I don't want to scare away any YA readers because I really enjoy YA too!

I've had some wine so I'm probably not making sense! ha I just hope that we can continue to have a good mix of books so that maybe there is something that every reader can enjoy here.

ETA - I said hope about a billion times in that post. Maybe we should make a drinking game out of it!

I love this board! I have added about ten books to my TR list on goodreads so far. I will talk about YA books, but I don't read them exclusively.

So do i. Id hate to see people not post about it... I read way more other stuff than YA... so i can see how a board full of YA would get annoying... my other board is covered in 50 shades stuff... idk how many more who should play Christian threads i can take... which is why im here pretty much 24/7
