Also, in somewhat related thoughts, WTF goes out on weekdays for drinks and the like? I mean REALLY??? I went out tonight, I was home by 8pm, lol. Even people without kids...I am always so tired and have to sleep before work, etc..I can't imagine going out on a Thursday night to a bar. But people do it.
Of course, I barely went out before kids. I have always been a stay at home and watch tv kind of girl.
Football almost every Friday night. We tailgate with some other families before home games, which is fun because the kids run around and wear each other out. We usually get home right at bedtime or a little after.
I have Fridays off from work, so I usually cook a pretty nice dinner.
We rarely go out on Fridays. Once in a blue moon we will get a sitter, and just as infrequently we will go out for dinner as a family on a Friday.
It's a pretty lazy day. DS tends to stay up later because we usually spend extra time outside, doing an art project as a family, or just messing around. DH and I try to find something to watch together on TV or agree on a movie.
Saturdays and Sundays definitely see more action in terms of going out and activities outside of the home. We are on the go all weekend.
Today I took the kids & we swam at the YMCA. Then I grilled out while the kids & H watched TV. DH went to the store & got a movie & candy which will occupy the rest of the night until kids go to bed. Sometimes DH & I drink, sometimes we go out (MIL takes the kids overnight about 1-2 times a month now) & sometimes we play board games or hangout with the neighbors.

Not much different than any other night. DH gets home at 5, I make dinner (usually something less healthy than other nights), play and bath, kids are asleep by 8. Then DH and I watch a movie or DVRed shows and are asleep by 10.

We generally do movie(s) and takeout or pizza, which is what H is picking up now. I'm actually unusually tired right now (7:15 pm), so I may not make it through the movie we plan to watch. The kids are in their rooms either on the computer, tablet or watching a movie (ds).

Tonight we went to the mall because J needed shoes and that's the closest StrideRite. Then we walked around the mall a bit and ate dinner there, but J was a bit of a mess since it was late. Usually we just hang out at home and watch Netflix. Dinner is usually a Digiorno.

We're usually exhausted and order pizza then collapse on the couch watching tv Saturday nights are nights well go out or have date nights. Friday's are exhausting!
I don't think we have a normal Friday. We often see friends- go out to eat or have people over or something. And/or we take DD to the park or pool. Or just order in food ourselves.
I do drink more and stay up later than I would during the week since I don't have to get up at 4:45 on Saturdays.
This. There is always wine, takeout and a couch involved on Friday night. We do fun family stuff Saturday and/or Sunday. Friday is our recovery. We often send the kids to the grandparents for the night.
