Keeping the dog busy

Since I only ever post when I have questions or frustrations, I thought I'd tell you about something cute we did today.

Pup has alot of energy, and needs to be kept busy or else she finds ways to keep herself busy. This afternoon I set up a treasure hunt for her with some treats. I put her outside, set up 10 small treats and gave her one when I brought her back inside. She sat in front of me for a while wanting another and then she must have caught a whiff of some of the others that were hidden (not really hidden since this was the first time). She still hasn't found 2 that are in the kitchen, but it kept her busy for a few minutes, and it was so much fun watching her figure it out.

We used to do this with Dexter when he was younger; he absolutely loved it. After we had been doing it for a while, we would find him randomly searching the house for treats. lol.
