@fivedogs
Anyone know anything about this brand? My MIL apparently wants to get us one. You know, the same woman who said she wanted nothing to do with this baby like, a month ago. I don't like the idea of someone else picking out a car seat for my kid, but I'm not sure how much of that is because I can't stand her.
So I guess as long as it's a good seat I'll let her do it. Thoughts? I'm googling reviews, but I trust you all more. lol

ETA: Apparently it's a Graco seat? I'm finding nothing.
Graco bought out this company in 2001? So my MIL is just insane because it looks like they aren't made anymore? I'm just talking to myself at this point. lol

Eeeek, she hasn't bought a used one has she? It's just weird she'd pull this name out of nowhere.

Maybe. I have no idea, because she didn't talk to me about it, she talked to H. He said he'd have to talk to me. lol
Has she ever dealt with a car seat before? Does she have one in her car for your older child? Or is she giving this to you for your own use? If it's the latter, I think it's fair to say, "we've got this covered, no thanks!"

No car seat in her car. She's an alcoholic and is not ever allowed to see A unsupervised. And her youngest is 33 (H). I guess he would have had one? I don't really trust her judgement on anything, which is reason enough to say no. But I know it's going to cause issues.
I would tell her you have it covered because a) it's hard to pick out a carseat that will fit someone else's car, b) everyone has different preferences, c) many people don't realize that many carseats are outgrown way too early by height, and d) where the eff did she find a Century seat? They haven't been made for at least 15 years. You will end up with a classic like this:
THAT'S WHAT I SAW WHEN I GOOGLED IT! And I was scared. Lol
